So Nintendo finally officially revealed the SNES Classic after months of speculation after they unceremonious backed out of producing NES Classics after only selling them for 5 months regardless of overwealming demand. They make promises that they learned their lesson. I don't think so, Nintendo. You sit upon a THRONE OF LIES. They claim that they will produce even more units this time around, meaning what? An additional 10 on top of the 20 you'll manufacture? Instead of 5 months, they're shooting for 3 months. So, people have only 3 months to fight scalpers for them. Fun stuff. Amazon UK had pre-orders which sold out in seconds (like when i tried to get a NES Classic and the servers crashed even though they sold out in seconds) and already the preorders are popping up on Ebay at over $200. I think it would be cool to own a SNES Classic seeing that it has some of the best SNES games in its line up AND an official release of Star Fox 2, which I've only ever played glitchy unfinished roms of. So, this is a must have item which makes it painful because I'm not about to pay scalper prices.
I've also yet to witness a Switch in the wild, this reminds me of when I was trying to get a Wii about 8 years, you could rarely find them. I was lucky enough to find a place that would hold one for me when they got one in. This is really nothing new seeing as Nintendo hasn't learned its lesson about knocking it off with the Artificial Scarcity crap, they've been doing it since the NES days.
What with them announcing Metroid Prime 4 at this years E3, yeah I need to own a Switch now, it won't be happening any time soon but hopefully by then they've put more out on store shelves.
