Rough week.
Much stupidity at work which I can't really go into due to my NDA. Nonetheless, stupidity warranting my packing of my personal effects, and considering a swift career change.
My panacea came in the form of date night. :) Dinner (yay salmon!), TMNT, coffee & dessert, and 300 can ease a lot of burdens.
TMNT was fun, but don't expect anything above a cartoon-logic enforced trip down memory lane. Master Splinter as played by Mako was great (especially since I'm a fan of Samurai Jack and Avatar: The Last Air Bender). High art, it was not - but not everything has to be. Just try to ignore the Bratz-flava, and it'll work.
300 was impressive, though I wish I had known more about the battle of Thermopylae beforehand. I was too immersed in the movie to actually notice specific points to confirm historical accuracy. I'm curious what others think about it, especially a certain former Classics student.
Oh, and Rachel Ray is stupid. Unfortunately, I only figured that out after spending $25 on a cookbook (spent $24 on the double feature...)
