Only problem: it's anime. I do not like anime. However, I was able to suppress my dislike of the style long enough to watch the movie and I can honestly tell you it's fantastic. The fight scenes especially. It stumbled a bit at the end with the Geralt reveal, but that's just my opinion because one of the many, many things I don't like about anime is the Requisite Weird Bald Kid. Still, great movie and it will tide me over until the next season of the show.
I did find out about the new Foundation series coming out on...I forget which streaming service, but we subscribe to it here at Casa de Cinco Gatos. And yes, that's Foundation as in Isaac Asimov. I wasn't a huge fan of the books but the trailer looks cool.

Apple TV. That's what it's streaming on. Thanks, YouTube! That ought to tide me over until Dune comes out in October.
And then there's the Wheel of Time series coming out later this year on Prime. I've never read the books but Irish Storyteller has. All of them. Even the ones that spin their wheels and don't advance the plot. (His rant about Winter's Heart is a thing of beauty.) I will read the books eventually but I want to go into this series knowing nothing about it so I won't be disappointed/annoyed at the changes/etc. Irish Storyteller's already complaining that one of the characters doesn't have a thing on her forehead like she does in the books.

The heck with all the dramas of ten years ago, this is the real Golden Age of Television. Finally they can do justice to fantasy and science fiction stories! I am one happy nerd monkey.
