Alright so I get a month long vacation. Well its more of a break to allow me to study for end of year assessments. Yes I have assessments and yes they make no sense since I will be assessed for courses I took in the fall. The English make no sense. Oh well I won't dwell on the assessments, instead I will dwell on the fact that I get a month break. And of course what am I to do? TRAVEL!
So this is the plan as it stands right now.
I fly to Prague from Gatwick or Luton airports (they are both outside of London). I stay in Prague for a few days (probably around 3 days/2 nights). I then fly out of Prague to Basel, Switzerland. I catch a train from Basel to Bern (might stay a night, we'll see). From Bern to Chamonix. I stay in Chamonix for 3 days/2 nights (just enough to get a full day of hiking in). From Chamonix I move on to Milano (its really Milan but they put the extra "O" for fun I guess). I might stay in Milano but from there I go to the Dolomites (which are a part of the Italian/Austrian alps. I stay in Innsbruck and go visit Krazy Ludwig's castle so 2-3 days/1-2 nights. Then I go to Berlin from Innsbruck. After which I can decide to stay put or go to Amsterdam or go home to Norwich. We'll see I haven't thought that far.
On a side, it is kind of scary to plan this whole trip since I don't really have a good footing on setting up hostels stays and the whole language seperation. I do have my Lonely Planet European Phrasebook so I will definately be the guy looking in the book as I ask questions. Like "Vous avec un petit ami?"
But I think I have my plane and train issues figured out. I'm going to drop them off by the STA Travel Shop to see if they think its do-able.
