The story of a young girl

A/N: I know, an actual post! I know i don't have that many readers already so they probably all left! LOL, but here it is and we're are switching to Ryan's point of view in Newport.

I walk out of the house that is filled with screaming, high or drunk teenagers. Sure, people take me for the popular, player type of guy. They obviously don't know me.

Well, maybe the player thing is right. But I actually do have a brain. I just wish there was an escape. My way of escaping is girls and of course, achohol. But I guess the achohol thing is in my blood. I kick a can that's lying on the ground and just want to get out of this place. Everyone is so fake and preppy! I feel like an outsider.

But who am I kidding, I guess I'm pretty lucky.

I get in my car and start to drive. I don't care where I'm going I just drive. Anywhere is better than this place.

Aw, crap I'm starting to sound like Seth.

************************************************

I come up to a very run down place but it seems like it's better than Newport! I park in some random spot and get out of the car. There's a guy sitting on the road that was staring intently at my car.

Better make sure I lock the door.

I keep walking down the sidewalk and have no idea where I'm going. For some reason everything gets blurry and I feel like I can't see and suddenly, BAM!

Smooth, Atwood. You just ran into some girl.

Wow, not just any girl though. She has blue, blue eyes that seem to match mine. Her style is in a way that looks like she really doesn't care what other people think. And that mini skirt makes her legs go on forever.

What the hell? I'm Ryan Atwood, player, master of getting girls into bed, what the hell am I talking about?

" Sorry. " I finally manage to sputter out.

All she does is stare at me intently though for a while.

" Hello? " I ask, not trying to be rude.

She shakes her head and dusts herself off as she finally begins to get up. " Sorry. I should have been watching where I was going. Although I guess I do that alot, with my awkwardness. "

" Enough rambling? I don't even know you. " I say quickly.

" Well, I kinda tend to do that when I'm nervous. Not that you're making me nervous it's just that-" she finally stops. " I'm Marissa. "

" Ryan. " I get to say something finally. " So, I get the pleasure of talking? "

" He he, " she fake laughs. " You can't say that to me unless you have any nervous habits. "

" Fair enough. " I agree. " So where were you headed with that bag? "

" Oh, um... " she says. " Nowhere. "

" Oh, sounds fun. " I reply sarcastically. "Well since you're so busy, would you like to come with me to a Newport rager? "

"Uh... Newport? " she asks me, totally clueless of where and what that is.

" The very opposite of this place with richies and water polo players. "

She manages to get a smile on her face that seems to brighten my day.

" Sure, why not. " she says with a small laugh. "Oh, and welcome to Chino. "

************************************************

We finally arrive to my car and it seems her mouth drops to the ground.

" This is your car?! " she might as well screamed out as she pointed to it.

" Yeah, are you too shocked to get into it? " I tease her.

She sticks her tongue out at me and opens the door and finally gets in, which seemed to have taken her 10 minutes.

" Okay, so now Marissa, we are going to do something called driving, which involves rding in this car. "

She slaps me and all I do is laugh and begin to drive back to Newport. We drive off into the starry night and I'm guessing right now I'm happier than I have been in a very long time.

Just another Friday night. You pick up random beauties in Chino and take them to a Newport rager.
