[Still griping about what happened a little earlier revolving some jerk with a spear, Rygdea decides to send a message over to this fella named 'Adell'. Now he doesn't know who this kid is, but he's definitely interested in joining the Blue Rogues. Let's just say that a lovely green-haired lady introduced him to this idea.]Does anyone here know a ( Read more... )

[It wasn't too long until Rygdea arrived with about two bags packed with food. He did some 'shopping' earlier. They needed food for this place and luckily this village doesn't believe in commerce. Placing the items on the table, Rygdea looked around for Raines.]

Hey! You're in here right?

[The bossy bastard was probably somewhere reading a book.]

[Bingo. Cid was stretched out on the couch, still in his uniform sans the boots, cape, and shoulder piece. In his hand was a book he had gotten from a 'store' earlier that day. Nothing incredibly fancy or long, but something to occupy his time for the time being.]

Yes, I am.

[He didn't even bother looking up yet.]

[Trying not to grumble at the sight of the commander in full regalia, Rygdea had to wonder why the hell Cid even bothered to wear the accessories. That shoulder-guard is totally unnecessary, and Cid already knows that.]

Well, aren't you lookin' spiffy.

[He laughed as he walked past the couch towards a nearby chair.]

[At least he's not wearing it now. Be proud, Rygdea.]

"Spiffy"? I look no different than I always do.

Yeah, but you're clearly gonna be the most overdressed guy in the village if you walk around like that.

This is how I always dress. You know that.

[He sighed at him.]

Cid, we're not in the military anymore! You don't need the damn uniform.

I know that. ...It is still what I always wear.

[Honestly? Cid couldn't really imagine wearing anything but this.]

[Knowing he isn't about to win this argument, Rygdea leaves this conversation for another day since there are more pressing matters to attend to.]

Yeah, we'll find you somethin' else to wear later. In any case, I think you'll be interested in what I found out about our less than generous hosts.

I'm talkin' about the Malnosso.

The Malnosso, hm? I have heard a bit about them thus far. Charming beings, are they not?

Charming like a rattlesnake, Cid. These guys are a little brutal from what I've heard.

So I have heard as well. Treating the people here as lab rats, pets, and soldiers alike...

[He arched his brow a bit.]

So you heard about all that? The cultists and such?

Cultists? That I have not heard about.

[He placed his book down after putting a bookmark in, shifting to sit up fully on the couch.]

Explain.

[Even if they weren't in the military anymore, the both of them still act as if they are.]

Here's a brief rundown; the village was recently attacked by third-party outsiders called affectionately 'the cultists' by Sir Catherine. If you're wondering who Catherine is, he's the newly-made leader of the Malnosso. No one ever seen him in person, but they say he's an old coot similar to the Primarch we both hate.

I am not sure what his angle is, but the cultists are assumed to be the natives of this world and they are allegedly highly ticked off with us newcomers.
