Michael is a vanguard of counterculture intelligence. He is a survivor and an inspiration to all those who know him. He challenges our understanding of communication, media, energy and style. He is one of the first people I met on LJ that I didn't know personally.

In another post, my wife mentioned Jeff getting a card... I was cooking in the kitchen when I thought she asked me who "Mike Ullman" was, and was he getting a card? I knew Mike in High school, and said sarcastically, no but tell him Jeff (His Brother) was getting one.

I've known Rye on LJ since just after 2000 and he witnessed second-hand a rather rough time in my life. And if that was his wedding speech, I think he married the wrong person.
