Confessions of a Nail Polish Junkie

May 04, 2005 18:14

I have a habit. A bad one.

Not as bad as some, but worse than others.

I buy nail polish like a fiend.

I buy it off of eBay these days, and in a store if I see something I like and it's not 10 bucks a bottle.

But when I buy it off of eBay... I buy it in quantities. Some of you may remember when I bought 72 bottles of Denim nail polish some time ago for about 5 bucks. I still like the color, which is good, since I won't be running out any time soon.

Just today I recieved 12 bottles of Rimmel nail polish, with only one repeat color, which is fine by me since I got two bottles free for using the "buy it now" option. Reds, purples, a green I salivate over, and a replacement bottle of one of my favorite blues ever.

I bought a box of Revlon nail polish just for one color I couldn't find anywhere else and ended up finding a new favorite.

I paint my nails, admire them, then strip them a few days later and paint them again.

Not counting the 72 bottles of Denim, I have 63 bottles of nail polish that are unique colors. Sixty three. That's a lot of nail polish.

As habits go, it's not so bad, but I still feel like I'm on a quest to find the perfect color that I will never strip off, and the perfect polish that won't chip too badly on the first or second day of wear.

I don't wear any other make up, but nail polish and I are good friends.

So...

Anyone want a bottle of Cover Girl Nailslicks Denim nail polish?
