Oh, that last line gave me shivers. The way you've handled Leslie's past in this is seriously so impressive because it's so detailed and intimate, and man, every time I get choked up. Something about a person like Leslie Knope losing a parent so early in life has always especially crushed and interested me, so the few fic writers who've tackled it have really struck a chord, and I love your version here. It's heartbreaking, but it makes so much of Leslie's life fall into place. And connecting that to Ben, and how scared she was of losing him, and all of this at Smallest Park... man you're just the best. This was overwhelming in the best way.

SO excited to see this updated! This is my favorite fic of yours (which is a difficult thing to decide on because you write many amazing things) and it's also my current most anticipated work-in-progress! This chapter was just lovely. The way you write Leslie thinking about her dad instantly becomes head canon for me. And then linking that with her feelings about Ben...I was getting very emotional reading this. You write so beautifully and make is seem effortless. I am, as always, in awe of your writing ability!
