Ahhhhh, this is so perfect! It captures all of the emotions you see in Leslie's face in that (amazingly acted) last scene, and how they've been building up to reach that point. The focus on being married vs getting married is expressed here so well through Leslie's journey, it's beautiful. And I love that we even get an explanation for why we've seen so little of Leslie being involved in pre-wedding activities. I'm sort of weird about proposals and engagements (but not about weddings/marriage, it's an enigma), and yet I'm totally crying now. I'm pretty sure I started crying around "It was as simple as waking up one day to see him lying next to her in bed and recognizing how much she wanted him to be her husband." This is what I've wanted since the episode last night, and I didn't even know until I read it. Thank you for writing this!!
