alright well it has come to my observation that LSU's Athletics are pretty damn good. Now before everyone starts to say well this and that let me finish. The football team is one year removed from a National Championship, and went to the largest bowl game outside of the BCS this year (granted they lost but thats another story), they also went 7-0 at home. Women's basketball is a unanamous #1 in both polls with one early season loss. Men's basketball is moving up in the SEC and with a win over Bama tomorrow night (8pm on ESPN), they will be atop or tied (i couldnt remember) for the SEC west lead. Baseball is still undefeated and is #2 in the country. Gymnastics moved to #1 in the nation this week. The reigning Track and Field national champions will start up soon and are on pace to win again. I don't really know how golf, tennis, and softball are doing but I'd have to say we are doing pretty good.

My nextdoor neighbor in my dorm got in a bad car wreck. The person he was riding with lost control of the car around a curve and hit a tree head on, he had to have hip surgery at Tulane yesterday. He's doing pretty good. I went to visit him in the hospital before they send him to New Orleans. It was the first time I had been in a hospital since my grandma passed away. I was fine but for the first minute or 2 while i was there all the memories of the past 2 months with her in ICU and wondering what it was like the minutes before she died were flying through my head.

I bought helen tickets to cross canadaian ragweed at the house of blues in a few weeks, that should be fun. We are also going to see Cowboy Mouth next saturday.

Finch Fulton: thanks for the poker updates

After ISDS test tomorrow, I'll have 2 geography tests and then I'm done for the week...finally.

I think this lent has been really hard. I'm not doing good with the self disipline of making an attempt to go to a daily mass when I can or sacraficing or volunteering or something of that nature.

Tonight was the first real meeting for the Students For Life at LSU, the president is pretty cool, shes just kinda quiet and doesn't have those typical leadership skills. But what she lacks in that she has knowledge of the issues, etc. When we went around the room and told the group what we had done previously with prolife stuff, the leaders seemed pretty impressed with my previous participation of prolife activites so they are looking for me to take an active role, which i plan on doing.

Bama people: I was talking to lizzie a few days ago and I'm going to try and make it up there in April.
