here's the synopsis:
One day, Takamiya Naho receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Naruse Kakeru.
The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions-especially regarding Kakeru. What's more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely.
i don't really like to read manga tbh, shoujo manga especially
but this manga is different. with really nice artworks and simple yet interesting plot,
i couldn't help but to love this manga
thanks to my lovely
airockz69 and my sister who also recommended it to me
and here you can see some sketches from the author, takano sensei~
as for me, the artwork alone makes me
i've never cried while reading a manga but Orange made me cried.
every single character has their own unique role.
as you know, shoujo manga usually has a main female character that is exaggerating things-
but Naho, she's so.. simple minded that i find it really cute, and not annoying at all.
not to mention there's Suwa -my favorite character- who is always so sweet and caring ;A;
the story goes very smoothly it makes me want to read the next chapter very soon right after finishing a chapter ;A;
it's been long since last i read Orange, the last chapter i read was chapter 9
it was in November 2012
my sister actually collected Betsuma (shoujo manga magazine) where Orange is included, but since it's in Japanese (can't really understand it lol) so i just read it online where there's translation
and i just come back to the site to see if there's any news about this manga
but then i found a bad news instead.
it said:
There is no chapter since three months and it seems that there will be no Orange’s chapter in Betsuma April Edition. Betsuma site doesn’t give explanation.
I hope Takano Ichigo is okay and that we will soon have information about it.
EDIT: It’s in her blog(the blog was deleted since mid-September) that Takano Ichigo has announced she would stop being mangaka after the end of Orange. She doesn't explain everything, but one of the reasons is she has difficulty with the deadlines. And when she gives the manuscript late, it causes a lot of problems to her superiors. And when that happens, she says it’s hard and she feels bad. This decision was announced in September 2012, but went unnoticed.
The official page of Orange and all informations of Takano Ichigo have been removed from Betsuma site. Even wallpapers have been removed
