I'M OUT OF BRITISH COLUMBIA SO I AM HAPPY AGAIN.
Just thought I'd let you all know.
I'm also confused because Mark and I are watching some weird movie about a ninja dude who saves puppies.
But anyway. My trip.
Well, currently I'm holed up in a hotel room with Mark (watching a movie about puppy-killers and shit) in Grande Prairie. Which is in Alberta, which is not B.C., so I am happy. We fly out tomorrow at noon, and get home about midnight. I look forward to it. (Bought my pony stuff, yo~)
Anyway, the trip itself was awesome at times, and bloody miserable at others. Being around that many people for that long is hard on me, and I think everyone else. So a lot of tempers were flaring. Still, my sister got her head on by about Friday, so that was better. We actually got along after that. Plus I managed to get to know Amanda and Stephanie again, which was nice. We hadn't really talked in years before this week.
The wedding itself went pretty well. My mom and Sars both said I did a really good job as Maid of Honour, and I have to say, I really did feel like a maid. XD; Fixing skirts, carrying stuff, undoing buttons. Oh yeah. :3 It was actually a lot of fun, though. The only thing that really bothered me was the speech I had to give. I was nervous and screwed up on the first part, the toast to the groomsmen, but I think my toast to Scott and Sarah went off okay. At least I got my punchline out without screwing up, and that was what I cared about. ^^;
The rest of the wedding went okay. Sarah cried when Uncle Lorne read Mrs. Butler's poem to her. (So did I, for that matter...) And Mom only cried a bit during the ceremony! She bawled while Sarah was dancing with Dad, though.
Gift opening was today, and that was...interesting. At one point I was taking one gift into the living room, and when I reentered the kitchen, my sister was holding a orange duotange and crying. Needless to say I was confused. Then I found out what was in said duotange. Auntie Gale had compiled a bunch of Grandma Nicklason's best recipes for her. I broke down bawling too. Right there. Bride and Maid of Honour crying in the middle of the kitchen. Classy. Then Sarah got a 67 year old vase that Grandma Nicklason had gotten for her wedding from Auntie Gale. Mom joined us in bawling (and it wasn't even her mother , it was Dad's XD;). So we had the Bride, Maid of Honour, and Bride's mother all crying in the middle of the kitchen floor. Yep, most interesting gift opening I've ever been to.
The other part of the trip was just hectic preparation pretty much. I'm soooooo tired right now. And very glad it's over. After all, there's no point in going to B.C. if I don't get to see the Rockies (kidding), and the only glimpse I got of those was from...Alberta. Well then.
At least I got to buy Prit presents. <3 Got Sam a halter for Flight, too. ^_^
I know at one point I was really wishing Kell had minutes again. Phone RPing = <3. Still, I survived the chaos, so now I get to go home. Positive reinforcement, I guess.
Oh! I also finished my first ever full drink. It tasted like creamsicles. ^^; Yummy. There was like...very little alcohol in it, though. Not that that's a bad thing.
Now I go read manga. :3
