Awesome day was awesome. :D Sam, Twig, and I all headed to Sunrise for the annual funshow they put on. Prit and I didn't get off to a very good start in terms of the actual show, what with him bucking twice during English/Western Pleasure Horse, which was sad because I think before we loped he had actually preformed well enough place. >.>; Ah well, he's a hothead. :3 The only other pleasure class I took him in was Command, and that did not go well either, although he didn't buck.
The afternoon went much better. First off, I got to put him in all of his shiny, pretty tack. He looked SO pretty. I love his pretty teal boots. <3 We got disqualified during keyhole and poles, and bucked during down-and-back (but we finished with a decent time anyway), but he did so well during barrels. I was super happy! I know how hotheaded he can be, yet he ran them like a pro, cutting all the turns, and not spooking at all at the crowd. We didn't manage to place at all, but that was okay. I was running him horse classes, not pony classes, even though he is a pony. So even though he didn't place, I think he did really well for a pony running against horses. During horse barrels we weren't even that far out of the placings. Had I run him in pony, we would have placed definitely, but I didn't feel right running over, like...twelve-year-olds. >.>; He's not that much shorter than a horse, and he's fast for his size.
Overall, i think he did pretty well, I was pleased. Maybe next year we can actually cut out the bucking. XD (Yeah right.)
