PUPPY LOVE
For insomniac19 because it's her birthday! And for all my fellow Drake stans. :)
"I like this one." Adam says, pointing at the little black and white dog jumping around in it's cage.
Drake scrunches his nose in that adorable way that always makes Adam's heart flutter.
"What kind of dog is it?" he asks, curiously.
Adam shrugs, petting the dog through the cage.
Drake spots a tag on the cage and reads it out loud.
"It's a Papillon. And it's a boy."
Adam brings his finger to the dog's mouth and laughs when the dog licks it.
"So, can we keep it?"
Drake looks around and pretends to think it over for a few seconds.
"Well, I guess...."
Adam smiles. He leans in to kiss Drake on the cheek before moving to take the puppy from it's cage.

"What about Dylan?" Adam asks.
They've been standing in line for the adoption papers for almost ten minutes trying to decide on a name.
"Dylan? Really?"
Adam nods, scratching behind the puppy's ears.
"But why Dylan?"
"I don't know. Dylan LaBry. It has a nice ring to it."
Drake opens his mouth to say something, but Adam cuts him off.
"You don't like it?" he asks, bottom lip jutting out a little.
"No, no, I do," Drake assures him. "This is just so...different, I guess. Like, it feels so, I don't know, official."
Adam smiles and kisses Drake sweetly on the mouth. "I love you."
Drake smiles back and runs his fingers up and down Adam's back. "I love you, too." he murmurs against Adam's lips.
Adam pulls back, a small smirk on his face.
"So...Dylan it is?"
Drake laughs before reaching out to pet the dog in Adam's arms.
"Dylan it is."
