Today was two things:
A) Bloody freezing
B) Periodically hectic
Those of you who live further away from the equator, refrain from saying, "Oh you think that's cold? Try coming to..." Yes, I know there are colder places than HK, but I'm not there, and you're not here, so we'll leave it at that. Also, HK apparently doesn't believe in heating.
This isn't grouchy by the way. It's just my end-of-the-day-and-I-can't-be-bothered-double-checking-how-tone-might-be-conveyed-in-text-weariness.
But yeah, I was happily writing up this story about a really lovely Irishman I met who owns a restaurant, who is a director for a charity that aims to provide orphans in Mainland China who suffer from serious illnesses or disorders the serious medical attention they need. Feel free to check it out, it's pretty touching stuff:
MedART Basically, the organization started when doctors and musicians banded together to give medical attention and music and "comfort to those within hospice or long term confinement institutions, the prison system or psychiatric institutions, by bringing classical music performances directly to their bedsides." Have a read :)
Then towards the end of the day, my editor got really sick (I suspect food poisoning) and had to go home early, and left me to help out with the website newsletter. Putting it together on the system isn't hard really, especially for a nerd like me. It's just really time consuming when you didn't really get trained in it and you have to figure things out as you go along. We managed to get the majority of it done at the end, even though it took us an extra hour.
I feel like I have more to say, but I'm getting really tired, coz I had to rush to a wedding reception when I got off work. No one I actually know well, but my mom's cousin or something like that.
Before I go though:
