Snowflake Challenge - Day 14

Jan 14, 2015 14:33

In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create.

Lol, I've already posted a whole heap, but I can always rec more! I'll go for different people this time, again from each fandom:

WLIIA: I'm pretty sure I'm the only one doing this challenge in Whose Line fandom, but hey! I've decided to go with one of my all-time favourite fics, albeit a desperately sad one. Autumn by sungreen70 is a beautifully written, tragic Ryan/Colin story. But, despite the fact that it's a real tearjerker (and despite the fact that I generally hate death!fic), it manages to achieve a hopeful, even kind of happy, ending. And I love that.

HP: This time I'm going to rec one from suitesamba, a hugely talented writer in Snarry fandom. Her story, Harry and the Potter, is simply a wonderful take on the pairing. Harry and Severus meet while on vacation in the US with their kids, and so begins a slow-burning romance. It's beautifully written, all of the characterizations are spot on (the kids are brilliant!), and the journey they all go on (literally and figuratively) is one that had me absolutely hooked from start to finish.

PINTO: And lastly, for Chris/Zach, I'm going to rec gyzym's The Love Song of the North American Douchebag. When I first read it, I was blown away, not only by the fantastic writing, but also how perfectly it captures their characters and relationship. It's just them. If you're into this pairing at all, you have to read this one.
