I was cleaning off my bulletin board, and i found my list of goals from December 16, 2004! My sponsor at one point had us write down our short term and long term goals, and then look at them a year later. She got this idea from another woman in the program who had each of her sponsees write down short term and long term goals on their clean date, and then look at them on the next year's clean date. My sponsor doesn't do this any more, but I've kept up the practice. Usually though, I can't find my list of goals the following year (haha). I couldn't find this one this year. The first time I did this, I think I found that most of my goals were met. I cant remember though.
Anyways, here's my list from December 16, 2004:
Short Term Goals:
1. Graduate with 3.5 GPA - DONE!
2. Finish 4th Step - not even close, but gettin there... oy
3. Be better about maintaining a clean home - very slight improvement... i'm working on it though. today i made a schedule for my cleaning. it's reasonable, and i'm going to work hard at sticking to it.
4. Speak to a Rabbi about conversion. - i decided not to convert. long story. sorta.
Long Term Goals:
1. Confront my father, possibly take legal action. - I decided not to do this... maybe later... another long story...
2. Look into/make decisions about graduate school - sorta done...but still an ongoing process...
3. Learn Hebrew - well since i'm not converting, and I'm not writing a thesis on Biblical marriages anymore, then I don't need to worry about that. I eventually would like to, just not in the near future.
All this is very interesting to me. My list this year is somewhat lengthy, but still reasonable. I'll post that in December!
