While looking at
antialiasis's friends page, I came across
this. So I checked out
this conversation. ->
Hm? Wait, what's the problem, precisely? o_O I mean, it's ridiculously bad, obviously, but it satisfies the length requirements, is not in script format, and is just about readable. Am I missing something? The guy a returning troll or ban evader or something? Please explain.
So wait, lemme get this straight, just because the fic isn't 'rule breaking', even if admitedly bad, you're not going to do anything about it? I am not saying every tom **** and harry that posts. I am talking about the ones that get reported because seriously, which would you rather have, you being all nice and neat or same with Psychic, or me tearing into the fic and destroying it in seconds?
What the hell? How in the world is calling people liars and saying they fail not insulting the author? This isn't a report card where people can actually "fail" a test, as a well-defined objective term; this is the world of casual conversation, where people don't "fail" in this well-defined, objective way, and "You fail" is an insult, plain and simple. So is "liar". Even Zephyr Flare apparently considered it bad enough to intend to delete it after I infracted it but then decided against it because then the thread would make no sense and the advice that was also present in your post would be lost, so don't you sit there screaming that I just don't like you. And yes, I looked at the story; he randomly PMed it to me and I told him it wasn't good. Throwing in the random insults is unnecessary and unwarranted.

I think these are terrible. They couldn't PM these to eachother? They had to make it public? I feel really bad for whoever wrote the fanfic they were talking about. Why did they have to insult the author publicly? Or at least, the one person. I favored Dragonfree in this, but still, Dragonfree should have told Yami to PM her instead of complaining publicly on her profile that a fanfic is terrible. I'd really dislike it if I posted a fanfic and someone replied that it's terrible and reported my fanfic to a mod.
Just because people post fanfics that aren't as grammar perfect as theirs, it's considered bad. If I were the author, I'd want them to PM me and give me a review, not reply on my fanfic thread with that. Unless a fanfiction has terrible grammar, writes like a play script (Ash: Hi! Misty: Hey!), and is extremely short, there's no reason to call it bad, even privately.
Has any of your writings, drawings, and/or journals ever been insulted publicly? I'll admit - when I get publicly embarrassed, I'll try to avoid whatever it is that got me embarrassed. For example, when I was down the shore I was go-karting. When I was in line, I met the girl who would embarrass me. My little brother moved out of the line and she rolled her eyes at him. I rolled my eyes at her. Then we ran to our go karts. Stupid me, I picked the one in the front. There was a man next to me, and he said, "Prepare to be creamed." I just nodded and looked away. Then the staff (15 - 17 aged) started to check our seat belts. Just as they say, "Ready, Set..." I slam the pedal and my kart flies into the wall. The one staff member, came over to me. "Why did you do that?!" I just got really shy and said, "I-I don't know. The pedal worked, so I h-h-hit it.." By now I'm really embarrassed. Then the same staff member says "Ready, Set, Go!" Again, and Rolly-Eyes-Girl speeds ahead of me somehow. Then someone else does. I'm in third place now, and we're going around in circles on the track. After about 2 laps, someone is approaching me from behind. The people in front of me, Rolly-Eyes-Girl, and someone else slow down a bit. Then the person behind me bumps into me, sending me flying into Rolly-Eyes-Girl. The other two people sped ahead, because Rolly-Eyes-Girl and I were turned around. Our karts were messed up because we were bumped into. They had to tell everyone else to hit the brakes so they could put Rolly-Eyes-Girl and I back so we could move again.
"Hey, Steve, he cut me off," Rolly-Eyes-Girl yells to the same staff member from before.
"I'm so sorry," I say to Rolly-Eyes-Girl.
"You cut me off."
"I'm sorry. Someone behind me bumped me into you and we both flew."
No reply from her. By this time it's been a minute and the staff came over, and turned us around. Though they stopped me, and made me wait until she was far in front of me. I finished the race after that, I will never go kart again. I'm afraid I might embarrass myself.
I'm also never going to into Hot Topic/Spencer's and whatever stores again. All my (girl)friends love those places, but I'll just wait outside the store while they go in there. >___>.
