So I have a midterm that Im excited about, but I need to study for, and Hebrew homework that I need to do by 9:00 am. Right now it is 6:51 and odds are that won't happen in time. However, that being said, I want to write about some stuff. Moment of lame inspiration, I suppose.

This past weekend was Ashley's birthday and if you were an alien coming to visit our planet, you would have thought that she was a war hero or something. We all had a really good time celebrating the special dayS with her. Friday after bible study Sterling, Rachel, Ashley and I all went bowling for Matt Jager's surprise birthday, who by the way SUCKS at bowling :-p Sterling won the first game, and Rachel pretty much won the rest of them. I decided to battle people in my own league so I had a nice friendly competition with Ashley. I wish I could say I dominated, but she definetly kept up with me. One game I beat her by one pin, and the next game I was losing to her, but they shut off our tv's. I will not accept this as a defeat in that I am a man that waits til the pressure is on to step up my A-game ;) We all listened to the softest, bestest worship songs we could find on the way home, which almost immediatly knocked Ashley out, so while we got a little bit lost, she slept in Rachels lap. When she woke up, the birthday (in my eyes) had begun because I gave her her present. I had gotten her a patch (like one you sew on to stuff) of Strong Bad as Dangeresque with the words, "Cool cool glasses" on the bottom. She said something along the lines of "Oh well.. I guess.. I can sew this onto...something.." :-p I'm apparently more of a "thought that counts" kinda guy too.

The next morning I woke up at 5:45ish (went to bed around 2ish i think...curse you Mario Kart) and made Ashley cinnamon rolls to surprise her with for breakfast in bed. Michelle was late, but when we showed up, we brought them in to her. I had Michelle wake her up, because I know Ashley well enough to know thats not something I can get away with without a black eye, and we served her. I think my favorite part of all of that was hearing her saying that she felt like the most special girl in the world. Go us with good ideas.

I went home and went to bed for an hour or so, then started calling people to go to the beach, which might I add we had the BEST day ever for. It was gorgeous out there!! Gorgeous! A whole bunch of us went, three guys, but it was still a good time. Craigo, Andrew, and I all went and threw the frisbee and football while the girls laid out. Finally we left, after mild frusterations due to being tired and trying to be responsible (serves me right :-p) and when we got home, I was late, and Mark was already at my place. He beat Craig at Bible game on X-box, while I showered REAL fast. Then my friends came!!!

Everyone everyone. Justin, Kyle, Ashley Richards, Tracy, ect ect ect, all for Ashley. We all caravaned to Dixie Stampede which was fun in itself, listening to Ashley talk, while having Ashley Richards there to help me pick on her for some of the funniest comments you will ever hear (MOET like Mow the lawn, A) We got to the place, and I was surprised to find that apparently, I had bought EVERYONE's TICKET, not just 25 % of the cost, soooo that was bad. But as long as I can hunt everyone down, I should be ok.

The show was NOTHING like I expected. First off, Dolly Parton?? ZERO part of the whole thing. You could have just played a song of hers as people were walking in, and she would have been as involved in it as she was. The pre-show, was... let's just say I wasn't that mad that Andrew and Ashley stopped to talk to those guys which made us later for it. However, with Ashley R and Jenna B by my side, I genuinely enjoyed the actual show! The chicken, GOOD! The horse riding tricks, GOOD! The "having people there to make sarcastic comments to help break me into the show", GOOD!! Go North! (Lindsey Carlson if you read this, that stays there. Don't get your dad after me, that was just the side we were on for this one) Jenny Hanson, her boyfriend Mark, Ashley and Kyle all got called down and were made to look goofy for us :) I liked that part too. Plus they won their game, way to go. Once again tho, the best part had to see how happy all this made Ashley. I don't know if people want to read into that or not, but everyone sets up birthday plans with the hope of catching the birthday girl smiling bigger than you've ever seen, and trying to take in everything as if to keep it etched on their mind. I think I saw that.

After the show, Andrew and I went to Tracys to pick up the "fire pit" and then my place to get my guitar so that we could do worship in Ashleys backyard. I don't mind saying, that this was the highlight of my evening. To look up from the screen, and at first meet the fire, followed by the faces of people's hearts being entered into worship by something that you are playing, followed by a deep black sky, lit by stars and a gorgeous moon, is a life-moment. It's one of those times when you say to Jesus, Gosh, I don't know how I got here.. but thank You so much for putting me here. The night was wonderful.

There was a Sunday aspect of the weekend too, but this is getting kinda long, so we'll just wrap it up. I actually only got on to say that I was going to be adding a list of things I want to do before I die, which you should look for in days to come. Maybe procrastination is a spiritual gift of mine :) Have a great day everyone. God bless.
