I really can't believe what's going on in our country right now. People who should be uniting to rebuild what's left of their lives in the New Orleans area are killing each other instead. There are girls being raped in the domes and people fighting and shooting each other on the streets, when they should be working together. Now they're saying

first off i agree that the people in new orleans are really really stupid to be robbing, raping and murdering people. but i have to point out a difference between the sept 11th attack in nyc and the hurricane disaster in new orleans...

1- the amount of city blocks that was damaged and/or blocked off during sept 11th is nothing like the damage of the WHOLE city of new orleans. space wise. 2- the city of nyc still had fresh water, food, and electricity. the city of new orleans does not. after dark in new orleans the "thugs" run the streets. 3- there were a multitude of firefighters and police all over the place during sept 11th. in new orleans the refugees and police/military are centered in one place- the superdome. and -most- not all of this nonsense is taking place where this is not enough police/ man power to stop it from happening. 4- our government was quick to respond to the attack in nyc with firefighters and medical care. they are slower responding to the city of new orleans due to lack of militarty personnel available and the huge amount of people they are having to move from new orleans to other locations.

personally i am shocked and disgusted at the way our society in new orleans in acting. and it is a disgrace to our country, people around the world can watch the news and see how the people of new orleans are acting and they are judging our society and country because of it. hunger, shock, dehydration, and loss are NO reason to rape, murder and rob.
