(no subject)

Where to begin? Hmmmm, well as stated before I am in Venice, have been for 19 days. So far so good I say. I am living with Ben, Chris and Laurel. All of us are getting along plenty well. Well I am getting along with them, for all I know, they could be all saying how much of a terrible roommate I am. But I do not think that is true. My tan is coming along nicely for all of you that care about my skin condition. Maybe a little dry though, but still soft. Give me a few more days and I will look like a true Italian. From what I have noticed the Italians in America do not look like the Italians I have seen here. The true Venetians look more Spanish then the Italian I normally think of when I think of someone that is Italian. But to be honest with you all, these Venetians girls are like the physical perfect girl in my eyes. Because again to be honest with you all, the perfect physical stereotypical American type girl just normally does not do much for me. Why I am talking about this? A say time for a new subject.

The new subject is IQP. Everyone’s most favoritist subject in the world. But seriously this is going pretty good so far. We have started doing some of the work, meeting with little Fabio pretty often. Documenting some nautical elements. Good stuff. Speaking of little Fabio or Arazanà Fabio how ever you want to call him. He gave me a quick Venetian rowing lesson. I enjoyed it, hopefully when the canals is finally refilled we will be able to actually row around the city, not just in the little area his boat is stuck in. Speaking of canals, there sure are a lot of them.

Lets see if I have any fun stories for you all. Yeah I have one or two that I will type now. One is very, what I feel, mildo like, because it involves me not being in places that I should be. So the mildo like stories takes place on a day, sunny and warm like everyday in Venice. I wanted to go to the island that the church of st. Giorgio is on. So I go there, and I start looking around and man am I disappointed. There is nothing on this island and half of it is block off to tourist. But I wanted to go to that half because I wanted to see a theater that was on that half. I decided that I will see it anyways. Well I know that I cannot get there because when I was by the entrance to the building I saw the people that were at the door turning away tourist. And there was a sign that said only authorized people. But like I said I need to get through that building to get to the other half of the island. So I decided that the best chance for me is to just go directly in the building. I walk straight to it, full of purpose, standing up straight. You know trying to look natural yet look like I should be there, and to look like there is no reason to question me. I walk directly into the building. A few steps in the doorlady, who had already told a few tourist to leave is just standing there, she looks at me, before she can say anything I just cheerfully say “Ciao” to her, and continue right on by. And this actually works, I continue on trying to look as if I know where I am going, although now that I am in the building I have no idea how to get to the outdoor theater that I am trying to get to. Also now that I am in the building I start realizing why tourist are not allowed in. First observations, there are people wearing suits, and a bunch of waiters carrying wine and other snack items on trays serving the people in suits. This day there appears to be a formal what I think is a fundraiser from the signs that I saw in the building. I decided that I should not get to close to the people in suits so I turn down another corridor and this actually leads me outside, convenient, because that is where I wanted to go. Outside this building is forested area with trails and other cool things. I also see people that are my age. They are just sitting in the court yard. I just walk by them and start walking through the woods. And in the end I come to the area that I was trying to see the entire time. I come to this old theater stuck in the woods. The trees are overgrown around it, the stage has grass growing in the cracks, and for some reason most of the seats have been converted to a place for various plants to be grown. This place is definitely not used anymore. It was awesome. So after I see that I just head back out the way I am came in. I noticed on my way out that I think the building was some type of school, and that is why there were people my age, and it was trying to get money for some art thing the school was doing, that is why people in suits. That is story number one.

My next story is shorter, well probably, we will see after I am done typing it. This story takes place after a concert at the Frari that I attend with Ben, and professor Zeugner, who is an awesome guy as I bet anyone that has had him would say. But anyways during the concert the artist played up in a balcony because that is where one of the organs happened to be. Well the concert ends and they let us look around at the church. And I happen to notice that they left this little doorway open, that leads up to the balcony. I say “I would like to go up there, but I bet that is not allowed.” Zuegner responses with “Yeah probably not supposed to go up there, but just do it anyways.” So, if a prof says so, then hey why not, I decided to go up, and once I start going up prof says “just don’t tell anyone you are with me.” It was pretty dang sweet. It was this really tiny staircase, looked very hidden passage like. And I got up to the top and got a nice view of the church. That is that story. See much shorter. Less of a climax though, and the climax is the ending.

That is it for this update. Also Venice is very nice looking. I could go on about all the nice sites, but who cares about that. And those are better with pictures, which I have a good amount of. Bye Byes. I hope this long entry satisfied you alls needs and did not bore you all to metaphorical tears. That would be a site to see, physically boring someone to tears, I think I will try to do that to some one some day. I will go up to some girl and be like “hey want to go on a date” they will be like “yeah” then I will be like “ok” and I would show up to the date, and then take them to like a place that is a far drive away. Far enough so the drive is boring, but close enough so they are not creeped out, like where is this guy taking me. Then at the date I would just sit there, maybe yawn, bring up something they find boring. Whatever it is that they find boring. Keep on talking about that. Then when they are trying to hint to me that they want to leave, I will say something like, isn’t the night awesome, and pretend I do not notice they want to leave. Really drag it out, then when we leave they would have to suffer through the long drive home. Yeah that would bring her to tears. And I would have succeeded in boring some one to tears. Fantastic idea if I say so myself.
