Just when it looks like there is an end in sight. When I am closer than ever to getting my debts paid off, I have to go to Best Buy and see this:

I don't know what it is about me and remote controls. I have bought some very expensive ones in the past. One particular one at Brookstone for $50 which I used probably only once then went into my night stand where it still lies to this day. I saw the Kameleon remote from All in One at Best Buy and immediately went home and got one off ebay for a unbelievably low price. That was the most magnificent remote I had ever seen. The only problem with it is with the slightest vibration it will light up, causing a massive drain on the batteries. I can only imagine what a color monitor on a remote would require.

I have looked on ebay, and this remote is scarce. It must have just come out, because I only see two available so far for auction. The retail price is around $250. Thus begins my an intensley fierce inner struggle to decide whether or not I should get this remote. I don't know what my fascination with the newest gadgets are, and the desire to possess them as soon as possible, but it's something that is hard to control, and I guess it is a trait about me as a person. Some people may say I always have the newest and coolest devices, and therefore I must have a lot of money to throw around on them. But the fact remains that these are the only things I buy, so it is not extra money, it is the only money I have.

I have $200 left to pay off on my $1,400 Widescreen TV I bought not too long ago. In the big picture, I guess $250 is nothing. But what scares me is at what point will $500 become nothing, $2,000?

Just by writing this entry I have now an even larger desire to get this remote control. Maybe someone will buy my other one from me. Travis? If anyone is interested, here is the picture of it.
