...So, I beat Professor Layton and the Unwound Future yesterday at 1:06pm (right before going to bed for work). Fristly, awesome game. Second, BOO GAME!! Okay, why did I first call it awesome, then boo it? The end leaves off with the promise of another adventure to come as a letter arrives for Layton (which is actually how this game also starts. Nice bookend). So, you might think I'm booing 'cause there either won't be anohter game, or it might never be localized, or just because I'm impatient, right? All reasonable arguments to boo. The actual thing is, there are three more games in the series, two are already in Japan, one is forthcoming, plus a movie. All of these are also either already in the process of localization, or have been promised a future localization. So why the boo? THEY ARE ALL PREQUELS. These three games all take place before the first game, Curious Village. This means Luke is even worse pedo-bait than before. (For the record, I've never shipped Luke with anyone, except maybe Flora, but they're about the same age, and it was more cutesy stuff.) Unwound Future though....well, basically the game starts by introducing a Future Luke. Going back to prequels now is unfair of the highest degree. Seriously. I also have a plot bunny nagging at me....
Sigh. I'm gonna go play some Eternal Sonata, get my mind on something else.
