So I had an odd dream yesterday while I was sleeping for work.
I was on my way to school with Shannon, which in itself is odd since the only year Shan and I ever went to school was when I was in kindergarten and she was in grade five. Anyway, we were walking along the road when up ahead I saw Ashley walking to her school with another girl. It was a really blustery grey morning but they were both wearing skirts that I guess my mind made up as part of the St. Mary's uniform.
Without really giving a reason we decided to all ditch school and headed to a nearby building in which Ashley's companion had an apartment on the top floor. It was a really cool building and the elevator was glass, and you could see out while you were in it. For no explainable reason while we were riding up in the elevator Ashley suddenly got a bluish nimbus around her and started sparking off little arcs of blue electricity all over the place. It didn't hurt us, or her, or give the elevator problems, she was just suddenly electric. The only problem was that it was affecting her motor skills, so we had to drag her out of the elevator and into the apartment.
We got her inside and laid her down on the bed while we tried to figure out what one should do with an electric Ashley.
Sadly I woke up before ever discovering the answer.
EDIT:
And wow. Y'know, I of course love anime, I enjoy just sitting back, relaxing, watching reading, whatever. It's always been a passive hobby (well, okay, I draw.). Hetalia is affecting me in an odd way. I'm reading Hetalia fics the other day and I stumble across a series that begins with the early years of America, and in the most recent has progressed to the War of 1812. I stopped reading the fic and started reading pages and pages about the war itself, about our rather silly struggle with our even more ridiculous neighbour to the south. It wasn't even really our war, America declared war on Britain, and we were the ones pressed to answer that call since England itself was rather busy taking up arms against France. They do that every so often in history. I was actually engrossed for a while just learning (and in small ways here and there re-learning), absorbing a rather sad period in our history, but also once that showcased our strength and intuitiveness. I just find it very amusing that a fanfic based on a Japanese anime made me interested to go and research more about Canada's history. Odd, ne?
