SUMMARY: (THANKS TO GOODREADS.COM)Fire, Graceling's prequel-ish companion book, takes place across the mountains to the east of the seven kingdoms, in a rocky, war-torn land called the Dells.
I really enjoyed this book, but I didn't feel the writing to be as smooth as 'Graceling'. Fire was a strong and weak character, but it's understandable. For if she is not strong she will not survive, but people are only as strong as their weakest point. I was saddened by the sudden death of Archer, but I love Briggan without a doubt. I know people wanted Fire to end up with Archer, but I was happy knowing it was Briggan. The monsters and the landscape in the book was very imaginable and easy to picture in my mind. Great work, so excited for 'Bitterblue'!
