WMU's Students Disgust Me

I am in shock right now. I just returned to my dorm room after attending a speech by Pat Buchanan. The speech was well attended because of the publicity it got with being on the same day as Chaves day. The opposition, liberal, turnout in the crowd was very high. That is really tacky. But, at the same time, while you're right it makes the university look badly, it also doesn't represent the university of its students or faculty, liberal as many of them as they may be.

I don't like Pat Buchanan myself...he's too (socially) conservative. A fringe. And his prominence in politics is over. That said, he's still a human being, and what that person did was very inappropriate.

I bet Gillikin is reeling. :P

I just hope Conservative speakers, or any prominent speakers for that matter, in the future won't think twice about coming here. It was just really disappointing to see it happen after it went so well so far.
