A Remarkable Journey To . . .Syracuse!

So, my mother, my Grandmother and I drove to Syracuse, NY on Monday in order to pick up my Great Aunt Annis.  I read a lot, we talked a lot, I got sick of Garrison Keillor's voice, and I listened to about ten speeches.*  Mostly, I'm relieved to not be riding in a car anymore, though I guess it counts as practice since my Dad and I are driving down to Annapolis in a month.

Last night, I watched the last few episodes of Clannad.  Honestly, this show is one big *_*.  It is ridiculously cute.  The romance is played out perfectly, the friendships between Tomoya and the girls are adorable, and the focus on family is wonderful.  Because it's so adorable, when it wants to be sad, it truly is, because you don't ever, ever want anything bad to happen to these cute and happy people.  It's highly recommended to any who can withstand its adorableness and character designs.

I also watched the Another World Tomoya Path OVA, which surprised me by honestly being about as sweet as the rest of the show.  The relationship between Tomoya and Tomoyo isn't as fitting as between Tomoya and Nagisa, but it really was a well-done episode.

Oh, and if anyone's wondering, it seems that out of spiders, lizards, and snakes, spiders are the most hated and lizards the least so.  Snakes fall about in the middle.

*I decided, if anyone wonders, that I really like Truman, respect Nixon as a politician though not as a person, and have essentially the same reaction when I hear Kennedy and Reagan speak, which is to alternate between nodding in agreement and cringing.  This may have to do with the fact that "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" and "Berlin Wall" are eseentially the same speech.
