Aikido went well.  It's fun to pretend to beat up people twice my size.  I'm the only female in the class(a fact I did not realize until the instructor referred to a very androgynous person as 'him') and the shortest, but that sort of goes with the territory.  It went quite well, my only problem being that next time, I will remember to tie my hair ( Read more... )

Oh that does sound fun!

So far I've had three days of summer. The first two were spent lettering comics pages, which is fun for the first page or three and then is quite tedious, but today I went to a local bookstore I've never been in before and then had tea and lemon cake, so I think perhaps today is really the first day that counts as "summer" for me, since the lettering was really finishing up a school project anyway. Also, finally writing fanfiction again, which makes me all kinds of delightfully happy. :)

With my next cup of tea, I will toast to both of our summers remaining delightful. And to your continuing beating up of people, of course.

My summer so far is consisting of being really busy, reading, watching old movies, and planning for the rest of summer. I'm going to start my own small kitchen garden soon, so I'm trying to figure out what to put in that. ^_^

Ah, bookshopping, lemon cake, and tea? That sounds like an amazing day. I'm happy, because tomorrow I just get to hang out and read until late afternoon, and then there's Friday, which is just work for my Dad and no classes or anything, and then, the weekend. Funny that my summer right now is busier than my non-summer days, but I need to get used to doing stuff all the time in the coming months, I think, because I have college in August, which is when I go to college and did I mention that I'm going to college soon? ^_^

Kitchen garden? That is so cool!

Okay, maybe not quite as cool as college, but cool nonetheless. ;) When do you leave, again?
