When you're in a town covered in smoke, you forget there's a world outside.  Nothing amazing happens.  Everything is ordinary.  Every day feel as if you're being smothered to death.  But there's Haruko.  And she reminds me that there's a world outside.*

I have no idea what happened.**

But it was awesome.

I'm not sure I can say anything else on the subject.  My mind is blown.

So.  Red Garden.

From four or five days ago, me and my Dad:

"Get anything good from Netflix?"  "Sure.  Undead teenage girls fight demons and then sing about it."  "Sounds goo . . .nevermind."

I've seen two episodes, and thus far, I really enjoy it.  It does the "Four different girls must fight something supernatural!" basic plot without making them seem Super Special(TM), and with keeping their identities, and making them interesting, complex characters.  I thought the art would bother me, but it doesn't even slightly.

But if you watch this?  Watch it with the subtitles.  Don't touch the dub.  It's not just that this is the only anime I know of where the sound was actually recorded prior to the animation being done, which is great, but also .  . .the dub takes these beautiful haunting songs and turns them into . . .weird dialog that seems to come out of nowhere.  Granted, the songs come out of nowhere, but at least you know what's going on there.  I know that they did translate at least one of the songs, so . . .I don't get why they did that.

**Okay, really, at the end, I knew exactly what had happened, but around episode five I became utterly confused before recovering.
