This morning, I woke up. This is a common occurence, although this particular instance was unusual, as I do not normally wake up at 5:30 in the morning, nor is David Sedaris' voice usually the first thing I hear. These attributes of my morning were due to the early hour at which I had gone to sleep last night(I had not truly intended to sleep at ( Read more... )

I was, in fact, born in Green Bay Wisconsin (Hence my genetic loyalty to the Green Bay Packers. I was just born that way). However, my earliest memories are from Guam. However, after two years there, I moved to NC, then to Georgia (The north end) where winters were cold. However, remember that I have lived the last 8+ years of my life in Florida, and four of those in South Florida where cold is "below 69 degrees". And here in central Florida, most of the year is warm. I'm just a warm guy in general. My mother actually comments on how my room is so "stuffy" and "hot" when I have to stick my legs under the covers when I run my ceiling fan, or I get cold. I run my showers really hot too. You on the other hand, once jumped into a cold pool while it was raining, and were totally fine.

My slept through a major storm tops yours. a Cat-5 super typhoon on Guam, IE, a piece of rock in the pacific ocean. I slept through the worst parts too, I think. But yeah, you and I are night creatures, to be sure. Me to my more extreme extent, for sure. I prefer a rainy day to a sunny day (I actually am known to observe that it is a nice day outside when it looks like there's going to be another Flood. ), and usually have to squint a lot whenever I leave the house as I find the bright pure sunlight to be just that goddamn bright. (And I never remember to bring sunglasses). From an aesthetic point-of-view, I do much prefer starlight and moonlight to sunlight, too, not that I leave my house much at night either. Night has one disadvantage that it is usually colder than the day, though...

PS: I'm well aware that my cat likes me most of the time. But y'know, she didn't used to use my foot as a bed (and my cat's kinda heavy. Which is annoying when you want to move the sheets) and has a bad habit of attacking my feet if I move them around to much, and she still has all her pointy bits.

PPS: Also, I don't find the ACT that rough of a test, and I never have any real problems with the time, it's just that for a full ride, I need a 28 (2 more than my previous 26), and milking the test for another two points, especially when I did really well above average the first time is hard work. Here's hoping, though.
