I've remarked in the past about how rampant the theft of intellectual property is in India. 3 out of 4 Bollywood movies are unlicensed remakes of Hollywood films. But check this out.

Here's today's installment of "Say Cheez!" from the Mumbai MidDay. Have a look at the new character.

I can see someone arguing "there is a lot of long black hair, goatee, tee shirt doods running around, so there is a chance it might not be stealing!"

I almost for a second bought that, HOWEVER the guy stole even the same watch (bracelet?) on his arm!?

Now that's just lazy! Geez!

Same thing here, I saw it at work, and I decided to take it home to double check it. I figured if the bracelet and shirt were the same, I'd post it. I got home, compared, and all they'd done is change the shirt color and add stubble. Look at the lines in the forehead!

I like the grammatical error!

I can't figure out if the *G* at the end is supposed to be the character's name, or a hung-over sound effect maybe?

Maybe it was a typing error in another webcomic, so OBVIOUSLY they had to include it?

I think it's supposed to be a sound effect, but that itself argues for a webcomics source, since using *s to indicate is something that webcomics borrowed from chatting, etc, not from print comics.

Not to mention the forehead lines!

I love Butternut Squash but I can't find this insulting or infuriating or anything. It's just hilarious! Which the joke isn't.
