I almost walked across Canada once. True story.
I was young. New to the world and not liking how it worked. Didn't feel like going to school, didn't want to integrate myself into a pension-based controibution to society. I just felt like walking into the world and seeing what it was all about. "What's happening out there while I'm serving patrons in a restaurant, I wonder?"
I also took off to Toronto with 400 dollars and ended up staying there for near-three years. Had one months rent and figured out a life for myself in that time.
Those are exciting conditions. Nature, freedom.... or one-month time limit to avoid the hippy life.
I always try harder for new things. If i'm dropped in a city, i'll try harder to live there in the first little while than I will a year down the road. By that time, i'm maintaing a life and not creating one. I'm furhtering a plateau and nevering spiking it skyward.
My dorsal fin flops over in those conditions. Too much repetition. Too much thinking: "Yet again I did something because I had to and it has nothing to do with what I want to do."
B-it's a trapb!
Exploration is key, I've decided.
If something sucks, explore something else.
