Clevelus and Gerald’s Conversation

“You have been a most wonderful listener. Thank you. I cannot wait to come back for another visit.”
“Why, so you can come and perform your tricks in a bag? Or so you can trick a bag you performed? Or to bag a performed trick? To trick a performed bag? To perform a bagged trick? Bag a performed trick? Huh, huh?”
“Why, no no no. Merely to come and have the honor and pleasure to be in your company, that is all.”
“Ahh, so you get pleasure from being around me, eh?”
“No no. That is not it at all. Come now, you cannot possibly think that, can you?”
“No, no, but you should have seen the last guy that came in here. He was surely something. Say, Clevelus. Do you drink tea?”
“Why, yes. Yes, I do.”
“Well, how would you care to join me today, at say, around noon, for a delightful tea and bread? Down at Churchill’s? Can you come?”
“Why, I do not see why not… Surely. Yes, I will come.”
“Okay then. Good, good. Tea and bread, at Churchill’s. Twelve noon, sharp. Sound good?”
“Sounds good.”
“Alright, see you there.”
“Tah tah.”

A Day in the Forest

“Join the revolution, Terry. You know that the bears will be coming soon.”
“Yes, Daniel, but I just do not think that us foxes can do much about it. We need more animals.”
“And who do you expect to get on our side? Surely the wolves will not join. And I would be dead before I let the Falcon join us. He is much too devious.”
“Come on Daniel, us foxes are far too powerless against the bears. Especially since the Plague swept through, earlier this year, killing half of our population. And we nearly lost half of that half during hunting season. Think, Daniel, think. The bears are much too powerful. I say we head for the Dancord Forest. We can find more shelter, more food, and more friends and allies there. What do you say?”
“Well, I do not like the idea, but… I will come. But only to keep you out of trouble… Come on, Terry. Let’s go…”
“Thank you.”
