It's determined by FATE

Apr 01, 2014 00:17

I was at the park yesterday, sitting on the bench at lunch, watching the waves crash against the lake. A dirty old woman comes and sits next to me on the bench. She takes a jar of peanut butter and a knife from inside her coat. She proceeds to eat scoop after scoop of peanut butter straight from the jar, using the knife as a spoon.

I got up and walked away when she started telling me, "It's not safe here for you, Chandler. In my previous life they tried to pry my legs apart and I screamed."

In other news, it's just a month of waiting. No matter how hard you try to change the course of your life, some things will be determined by FATE, and there is not a damn thing in this world that you can do about it.
