Letter to Mom that I failed to send from home because I'm a dork

Hi, Mom!

Sorry I completely failed to write you back.  :(  But you said you check here a couple times a day, so I thought I'd write to you here.  Besides, you're probably not the only one curious. (I completely forgot the word "only" in this sentence when I wrote it!  That sounds really bad without it.  Sorry!) :(
I am excited!  I'm thrilled about ( Read more... )

I'm sorry the planning thing is getting you down. I didn't want to do it, either, so I just didn't. I decided on a really simple format, and if people didn't like it, tough. Actually, though, they didn't like it, so they just did something more for us, but I didn't have to plan it that way. I'm sure just having it at the church was a lot simpler than what you have to do with a different location. I guess I didn't even think about impressing people. I just wanted to get it over with. I really didn't like the idea of being the center of attention at that point in my life. Actually, I don't like it that much now, but I was much worse then.

Did you read that Amy returned her dress? I feel bad about that, because I was starting to like it more each time I looked at the picture. But the print was a bit loud, considering everyone else would be in black or a solid color. Now I'll be the one that sticks out in my blue, because she is going to wear black, too. Oh, well. Nothing black fits me, I don't think. And I decided that black for two weddings was enough. So I'm wearing blue. You could make all the pictures I am in black and white....

Did everyone get their tickets?

We had some sort of warm weather the last couple days, so things have been starting to melt. Yea!!

Can't wait to see you.

Love,

Mom

It's really a big relief that you didn't like planning your wedding either. Erica sounds like she had such a lot of fun planning her's that I sometimes wonder what on earth is wrong with me not enjoying this whole thing. I am looking forward to having everybody in town and having a hopefully fun party. But I'm ready to be there now, instead of waiting another 18 days. :)

I hadn't seen that Amy returned her dress until you mentioned it. That's sad, it was a really pretty dress. But hopefully she'll find something else that will make her feel both beautiful and blendy.

I think everybody has tickets. If they don't, I'm not thinking about it. I can't do anything about it, so I'm not going to get myself stressed out thinking about it. Whoever's coming is coming and I'll find out who that is on the 29th.

I'm glad the weather is brightening! We've had wind and fog and chilly weather, but it's getting better and better. :)

Can't wait to see you, either!

LOVE!
