So we've had a great weekend. Sunday/Monday being my "weekend" per-say, it's nice to sit down and relax. Sorta.
We got Melody yesterday. She's 8 weeks old (born May 22nd) and an adorable little beagle girl. We were on a trip to visit Meg's grandfather in northern Maine (Rangeley) and we had talked to the breeder this past week about getting her on the way back home. The family she came from seemed very nice and she's apparently from "hunting lines." And though she doesn't come with a pedigree, she's 100% beagle through and through.

We've survived the first night, and she's been really good about "doing her business" outside so far. We just need to stay on top of taking her out. She was a little noisy this morning, but we took her down to the town center and walked around for a bit, and then came home and walked around the house.
She's napping right now in her crate and on her pillow. Tuckered out for the time being.
She's so bloody cute it's ridiculous.
