kytivafan 1. if you had the ability to morph into any animal at will - which animal would you choose? I have always loved big cats, particularly snow leopards. There is something just so majestic, beautiful, dangerous, sleek and exciting about them. To be able to experience that would be amazing.
2. you have just won an all expenses paid trip around the world for two. Your significant other (sorry Yar) can't go - who do you pick? I would love to travel with my Mom. I've been so fortunate with respect to the travel I've been able to enjoy, particularly since marrying Yarry. I would love to share something like that with my Mother. There is so much of the world she hasn't seen, and I'd love to give her that opportunity.
3. if you could change one thing about NCIS what you change? It should come as no surprise that the one thing I would change is the never ending '1-step forward, 2 steps back' with Tony and Ziva. I want the writers to leave the 80s and its 'Moonlighting Curse' behind and understand that nothing about the show needs to change if you put the two of them together. Don't put the relationship center stage, don't forget the team dynamic, the cases and the rest of the formula that got you 200 episodes. There is plenty of room in teasers and tags for a glimpse into the wonders of watching two incredibly dysfunctional individuals try to make a life together, without changing the focus of the show and what makes it great.
4. you have the opportunity to meet President Obama, your favorite celebrity or one of your ancestors - who do you choose - and why? Not politically minded enough to be dying to meet Obama. Don't really know enough about my family more than 2 generations back (amazing what a European slaughter will do for accurate family records) to have a sincere driving interest to know more. So I guess it boils down to the incredible thrill I get when meeting people whose work I respect on television or in the movies. In other words, sign me up for that one-on-one with Cote de Pablo. ;)
5. you can go back and time and redo your career choice - do you and if so - what would like to do? Early in my career, I often bemoaned the fact that I hadn't applied myself better in college and worked for the medical degree I was absolutely convinced I wanted. Nearly 20 years in medicine later, as I see physicians drowning under more work and less satisfaction, I'm actually grateful that I didn't go that route. My job is stressful, and some days I really do wonder what possessed me to go into healthcare, but, at the same time, I really couldn't see myself doing anything else.
