junior formal results
It started out extremely hectic, but in the end, everything worked out ok.
first off, i wanted to go get my nails done before the dance, so my mom and i did that. it took WAY longer than it needed to; as in 2 hours longer...we ended up having to rush out of there and race back home to make it to the flower shop.
well, i didn't make it. i ended up getting back there half an hour late. damn. not only did i design his boutonniere (ha! i found out how to spell it!! ^-^) myself, but i pre-paid it, too. i got home and decided to just go upstairs and change into my dress while my mom got a rose from kroger, when my dad said he already got it for me. i was so relieved that i started crying. damn hormones...always making things out to be more complicated and overly dramatic than it needs to be....
after that, i had to skip going to asia's all together, and drove straight to the resturant. i shouldn't say "straight" there, since it took me half an hour to FIND it. my dad tried to explain to me where it was, but he was given the wrong directions by the people on the phone, which means he gave ME the wrong directions. damn them... when i finally got there, ang came running out of the lobby saying there was some sort of problem with our reservations, and told me to go find a parking spot. apparently, olive garden doesn't "accept" reservations on saturdays, and it would be an hour wait for them to find all 12 of us a table. instead, we ended up going to Cherry Blossom.
The corsage Arthur gave me was beautiful! 6 white roses, complete with white rhinestones and a white ribbon. ^-^
When we got to the new resturant, we had to ask for the check as soon as the food came. then we all scattered to our vehicles and raced back to the school.
meg and peter took FOREVER to get there, and arthur and i had to wait in the stairway for them since they were supposed to be our dates...i was a little nervous about them even letting me IN, since i didn't have my school id with me, but i had my driver's liscence.
once we got up there, the teachers didn't ask to see my id or anything, they just smiled and welcomed us all in. then arthur and i got our pictures taken and went to the dance floor. it was great. it seriously felt as if a 5000 pound weight was just lifted off my shoulders.
we danced the whole time. i caught pictures of all the couples, even belinda and gabe when they were in the middle of a slow dance together. i think gabe was the only one who knew i was taking the picture, but he didn't seem to object. belinda was horrified when she suddenly saw a bright flash. i couldn't stop laughing. ^-^
i invited everyone back to my house for cake and ice cream. my mom made a birthday cake for me, and i never had any yet. after pat and peter went back home, the remainder of us watched the hunchback of notre dame. after that asia and ang took tj home, and meg and i took arthur home. ang confessed her feelings for tj in a note to him, i still haven't heard anything about it yet.
meg and i were the first ones back and we both gave eachother a back massage. it was nice. then we watched part of totoro, untill we both fell asleep. i woke up 2 or so hours later. i asked meg if i could have my blanket back so i could go upstairs to sleep. she rolled over and started snoring. i took that as a "no" and just went up anyway.
this "morning" i woke up at 2. ang came in and said there was food downstairs, so i got dressed quickly and joined them for breakfast. i was complemented on my matching shirt and pants. don't ask...after that i went to work and now here i am, typing this. wow. sry for the uber long post. ^-^;;
