Thank you...I really feel kind of silly for getting so upset about a cat, but it's more like losing a member of the family than just a pet.

I have a pair of brothers; Siamese, so long-lived, and they are 19-1/2 years old now. I know they're aging, and I have to admit that I'm DREADING when they're gone. Cholla has been with me through the worst downs and highest ups I've ever been on in my life, and I will miss his wonderful person deeply when he goes. Chindit is not so deeply entwined in my life, but he's a character and my kids love him dearly.

So, uh, yeah. I really understand being upset, and I would be the last to tell you 'it's just a cat', because they ARE family.

Thank you *hugs Yeah, I definitely feel like I've got a Jinx-shaped hole in my life now...We really had no indication that anything was wrong at all; he was trying to eat Stacie's earphones that morning and generally making a nuisance of himself the way he was wont to do. He was old, of course, and we knew that every continued day was a blessing, but...he was just so lively, and a force to be reckoned with, that we never thought it would be now. Though, it's a bit of comfort, to know that he didn't suffer at the end.
