Like, I think them basically remaking A New Hope was perhaps not the best idea? (Droid with vital information on a desert planet finds untrained Jedi kid, go to a big cantina scene, fly X-wings through a trench to blow up a planet-sized weapon...) Sooo many of the story beats were the same, it distracted from getting into the movie.
Though I loved seeing the old characters again, of course, and the new actors were all pretty good (except Kylo Ren, who sounded like an emo teen). BB-8 is the most adorable thing since puppies. And the practical effects were great.
Apparently I have ~feelings~ about this, haha. Maybe I'll write up a proper review at some point.

and I will love to read your review of the movie!
and no surprises that I've been batting around a Star Wars/Dragon Flyz x-over, heh. Z slides to the Dark side to mirror his getting turned into a mutant in Dragon Flyz canon but I need help with a good Sith name. Suggestions?
