Barf, this took forever.  I'm not totally satisfied with it, and I think I jumped heads a few too many times, but dang is it hard to write a television style battle from one person's perspective!  This one really got away from me in length as well.  I've been thinking I'd finish it over the last three days, only for the story to just keep adding to

well, my first reaction had been the Kermit the frog flail at waking up to Ry-fic

but now, I've got this sinking feeling - no pun intended. I'm just hoping everyone survives at this point [well, bar Dread Wing and the rest of his merry band of mutants]

I'm probably too attached to really kill any of the main characters...but doesn't mean they won't go through hell first. Still, I am a fan of happy endings...so....

by the way, totally your fault that I have Amod/Zarkan hints nowadays. I hadn't planned on shipping them with each other until I read your fics - which ended up with this prompt happening:

The only taboo Nora ever remembered having in regards to her relationship with Peak was probably the whole frat regs issue [but everyone ignored them - especially the two members on her squad who really needed to remember that their on-duty quarters were right next to hers and she could *hear* them]

LOL! That's too hilarious! I actually toyed with making the ships: Summit/Amod or Summit/Zarkan, and having Z'neth/Miriam, and then either Zarkan or Amod/Nocturna.

But Z'neth and Nocturna are just too fun to be split up. And really, I can't imagine my 'verse's ships going any other way now. XD
