SDCC Tidbits

So now that I am out of "Pharmacy Purgatory" (ie, I finally got my license number from the Board), I decided to share what I spent the last two weeks doing: drooling over the new (and some not-quite new, but new to me!) toys I found in pictures from the Sand Diego Comic Con 2010. Most of these pictures are from Michael's Toy Review of the Week.

Note: I have not purchased any of these except for the Tonner Zatanna I mentioned in my last post at the Orko/Adam MOTUC set.

Speaking of Zatanna...there's a nice DC Universe Classics figure of her coming out sometime soon! She's adorable.

And speaking of Masters of the Universe Classics...

King Grayskull re-issue coming November!

I'll probably pick up the Goddess and He-Ro to go along with him. They run in the same circles.

Also...BOW (from She-Ra) finally makes his debut. Swiftwind should be coming soon as well. :)
This means, of course, and I'll have to hunt down She-Ra and Adora. XD

Tonner is doing Zatanna, of course, but they have a few other offerings that I really like:

They're wonderful new Miss Piggy line - with Kermit of course! These have hilarious names like "Swined and Dined."

Jessica Rabbit! Seeing this makes me want to track down a copy of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Such a funny movie!

Jacob Black of Twilight Fame. Also one of Tonner's better male face sculpts.

Although Dastan from Prince of Persia has a great sculpt as well!

And Zatanna just because. :)

Monster High had a great showing this year as well!

The con-exclusive grayscale Frankie.

Upcoming characters Ghoulia Yelps and Holt Hyde. These may have been my favorites from the con showcases.

The Dawn of the Dance dolls:

Frankie Stein - nothing much to say about her. I actually prefer basic Frankie.

Cleo de Nile - oh, how I wish they'd kept her shorter, more Egyptian-wig-like hair!

Clawdeen Wolf - she may be my favorite from the line, which is weird because she's probably my least favorite character. Maybe it's the green hair.

Sideshow Toys had some amazing offerings:

1/6 scale Star Trek TNG!

Worf has a Battleth and Data has his cat Spot! That is awesome.

An amazing Gargoyles Goliath statue! This property seriously doesn't get enough love. :(

There was also a beautiful Neytiri statue from Avatar.

Gentle Giant is also producing some great Avatar busts:

Their spots even glow in the dark!

The folks at Square Enix must have finally cracked...because they're making a figure of a Final Fantasy 6 character! Terra!

And last but certainly not least...Kotobukiya produces some very lovely "bishoujo" comic character statues. Some of my favorites...

Psylocke!

Batgirl. Great cape action!

And one of my personal favorite Marvel characters...Emma Frost! She should be coming out around January. :)

Whew! So basically after looking at Comic-Con pictures I realized I could be really poor in 2011. XD
