Last Chapter
It’s already dawn and Ryosuke still waiting. He didn’t sleep throughout the night as his eyes only looking at the front door while hugging his knees, hoping the door will open in any time soon and Yuto will comes in, smiling at him but until now Yuto still hasn’t come back. He has been trying to call Yuto until his phone running out of battery but Yuto never once pick up his calls. If only Yuto told him where he was going last night, he already ran out there and finds him.
“Doko icchatta no…Yuto…” he mumbles softly, resting his chin on his knees and his eyes are threatening to close. He’s tired, waiting is so tiring. He almost falls asleep when he heard the door being opened. He jumps off from the couch while smiling widely the moment he see Yuto and run toward the entrance. He wants to hug Yuto right away, kiss him and tell him how much he misses him. He didn’t see Yuto for only one night but it feels like thousand years.
“Yuto! Okae--“ Ryosuke’s smile dropped and he didn’t finish his sentence as he saw Chinen behind Yuto. He looks at Yuto in confused but what more confusing, there is pain in his eyes.
“Ryo, Chinen will live here for the time being.”
“Eh?” Ryosuke is in total surprised.
“Why?”
“With his current condition, he can’t live alone.”
Ryosuke look at Chinen. He does understand his problem. His father left them and his mother still unconscious in the hospital but why Yuto? Doesn’t he have other relatives he could rely on? How about him if Chinen lives here? He just couldn’t bring himself to accept this.
“For how long?”
“I…I don’t know” after Yuto answered, Chinen reach his hand to hold Yuto’s arm making Ryosuke frowned in displeased.
“Nakajima-kun…you promised me that you will stay by my side right? So, it doesn’t matter how long should I stay here”, Chinen look straight into Ryosuke’s eyes when he said that and tightened his grip on Yuto’s arm. He wants to see his reaction. Nothing else could make him satisfied than seeing Ryosuke’s face which always covered with smiles and laughter turn full of misery. And he gets what he wanted. Ryosuke stoned in his position with his eyes open wide and frown terribly.
“Yuto…w-what is he saying?” Ryosuke’s voice is shaking. Just now, Chinen said something about Yuto promised to stay by his side, what it’s actually mean?
“I’m saying, Nakajima-kun choose to stay by my side and from now on, I’m staying here with him”, Chinen snuggle closer to Yuto and the taller close his eyes to hold his tears. His heart feels so tight until it’s hard to breathe as he can’t say anything about Chinen’s words and it hurts more to see the person he loves trembling before his eyes.
“Tell me this…this isn’t true, Yuto” the taller didn’t say anything. He locked his sight on the floor.
“Please…” Ryosuke beg but Yuto still remain silent.
“I’m sorry…” Yuto spoke after a long pause but that is not the kind of answer that he wanted.
Ryosuke stepping back weakly and cover his mouth with his hands. Tears are running down on his cheeks though he still doesn’t understand anything. It hurts. It hurts so much to see Chinen’s hands wrapping tightly around Yuto’s arm with smirk on his face and Yuto just letting him. What actually happened last night until Yuto made such promise? But whatever reason it is, Yuto choose to be with him.
“He doesn’t love me anymore…no wait, he never told me that he loves me” Ryosuke stop sniffing and wipe off his tears. How foolish of him to think that Yuto’s gentleness, his concern, his kisses, his touches was all because of he loves him. Yuto was only being nice to him because he treated him as a pet, not more than that. From beginning, Yuto could never love him more than a friend, not even more than a pet. Everything was nothing but a dream and it’s time for him to wake up from this long, tiring dream. Ryosuke walk into Yuto’s bedroom and start packing his things.
“Ryo, what are doing?” Yuto asked panicky as he saw Ryosuke throwing his clothes in his luggage.
“There’s no need for me to stay here anymore”, Ryosuke zipping his luggage and stepping toward the entrance door.
“Ryo!” Yuto grabbed his arm with strong grip, stopping him from walking. He dropped his luggage and turns to Yuto. There is trace of tears on Ryosuke’s cheeks but his face shows no emotion.
“Call me disloyal but I’m leaving my owner. I’m leaving you. Sayonara” Ryosuke take off his collar and throw it somewhere on the floor before he walk out from the door and never look back.
“Ryosuke!!” Yuto fall on his knees in front of the closed door. Tears that he’s been holding in are pouring down recklessly.
Chinen’s legs become weak seeing Yuto crying on the floor. His mother’s screamed calling for his father ringing in his ears and her image when she cried after his father left keep replaying in his mind. He scared if Yuto do the same thing as his mother did. Despite his trembling legs, he walks toward the taller and wraps his hands tightly around Yuto’s neck from behind.
“Nakajima-kun, please don’t cry. I’m here…I’ll always be here…”

Yamada-san surprised to see her son suddenly came back with his luggage and without saying anything he just walk toward his room with sour face.
“Ara…I wonder what happened to Ryo-chan. Did he have fight with Nakajima-kun?” she asked her husband who is sitting on the couch while holding his newspaper.
“See? I told you it’s not a good idea to let him stay with his troublesome friend” Ryosuke’s father answered before he continue reading the newspaper.
“Anata…” she’s sighing.
Ryosuke throw himself on the bed and buried his face on the pillow. He wanted to cry but his tears already dried out. He’s been crying all the way home regardless peoples around looking at him strangely. His head hurt so much until he can’t even feel the pain in his chest caused by his shattered heart, stabbing every each of his veins. He just wants to sleep and forget everything…

Chinen is walking to school together with Yuto. Although Yuto is beside him, it feels like he’s walking alone. Yuto doesn’t speak a word and always look down as if he’s counting every rock of the pavement. He only answered his questions with a nod and ‘un’ and sometime he doesn’t answer at all because his mind is somewhere else and he doesn’t even hear a thing of what Chinen said. Deep down, Chinen knew that Yuto is suffering inside and he also doesn’t like being treated as if he is invisible but he shrugs off those feelings away because his greediness to own Yuto for himself is far greater than his feeling. He’s fine being treated like this as long as he can keep Yuto by his side…or so he thought.
Yuto and Chinen walk into the classroom and Yuto finally rise up his head as he saw Ryosuke. Along the way to his seat, he only gazes at Ryosuke but the other doesn’t even look at him, just busying himself writing on his note book. After he sit down, he still staring at Ryosuke, hoping he will at least look him back only for a second.
“Ryo…” Yuto’s soft voice calling for his name shakes up Ryosuke’s heart for a bit. His grips around his pen become tighter. He misses that voice so much but his pride telling him to ignore. Chinen saw Yuto’s hurt looking face but it hurt him more as the first word that came out from Yuto’s mouth since yesterday is his name.
“Please…talk to me.”
“Ryosuke…” he pleads as Ryosuke still ignoring him and Chinen avert his eyes to his side while biting his bottom lip, feeling so irritated. Hearing Yuto who hasn’t spoken a word to him, begging and calling Ryosuke’s name it’s like a piercing sound, bleeding out of his ears.
Ryosuke is getting weaker toward Yuto’s pleads. The painfulness in Yuto’s voice melted his ice cold heart. He really wants to turn aside and let himself drowned into Yuto’s eyes but he can’t get carried away. He can’t let Yuto make a fool out of him again, not this time, not ever. The moment their homeroom teacher enter the classroom, Ryosuke rise up his hand.
“Sensei.”
“Hai, Yamada-kun?”
“My eyesight is getting worst lately. Could I change to front seat, please?”
Yuto look at Ryosuke in total surprised. He didn’t expect Ryosuke want to distance himself from him this much. Not just he doesn’t want to talk with him, he can’t even stand to be near him anymore.
“Hmm…shikatanai na. Etou...Tamaki-kun? Would you mind change seat with Yamada-kun?” the teacher asked his student who sit in front row.
“Iie, daijoubu desu” Tamaki start packing his things and Ryosuke also doing the same thing.
He takes his bag which hanging at the side of his desk and at that time, his eyes meet Yuto’s. He can’t bear the way Yuto look at him with those lonely eyes so he averts his sight away. Yuto smile bitterly seeing Ryosuke’s back as he walks toward his new seat. After what he had done to Ryosuke, he has every right to hate him. The person he ever loves the most is no longer by his side but as long as he is here in this school though he can only see his back, it’s more than enough. He knew that he deserved this kind of punishment. He deserved to be this pathetic. Yuto fold his arms on the table before resting his chin on them and gazing outside the window. As the sunlight beaming through the white curtains, Chinen saw sparkling tear running down Yuto’s pale face.
Chinen doesn’t understand himself. He should be happy now that he finally broke them apart. He should be celebrating as Ryosuke won’t lay a finger on his Yuto anymore. But his mind and his heart are telling him different things. His mind saying that he deserved to be happy after all cruel things he been through while the other saying that he’s the one who being cruel toward them even though he knew they are madly in love with each other. How can he be happy knowing such truth? He’s so confused, don’t know which one he should listen to and end up with upset stomach.
With a blink of eyes, season exchanged and soon they will graduate from this high school…

Chinen is sighing in front of the hospital room door with his mother’s name written on it. He looks at Yuto who’s standing beside him. He has become skinnier these past few months, liveless like a walking dead. With his empty eyes, he still curves a little smile trying to give him strength to walk into that room and see his unconscious mother. Chinen smile back to him. Yuto has always accompanied him everytime he went visit his mother without complaining. He started to respon now when Chinen talked to him even though there’s not many words came out and he also took a good care of him at home but fact that he can never fill the emptiness inside Yuto’s heart, he always knew that.
“Ohayou, Okaasan” Chinen greet but only answered with silent. His mother’s eyes still closed and sleeping peacefully as if she doesn’t want to wake up. Chinen sit at beside the bed and hold her hand tightly while Yuto standing there, looking at the unconscious woman.
“Okaasan…please wake up”, Chinen bring her hand against his lips and his eyes become teary. No matter how much he cried, his mother is not giving him any hope that she will wake up from her long sleep even the doctor can’t do anything and just waiting.
Yuto shut the door behind him after Chinen walks out and look at Chinen who is wiping his tears. He feels sympathy towards him but that’s all he can feel about him.
“Everything will be fine”, Yuto said as he’s patting the younger’s head softly.
Chinen feels tight in his chest. After all cruel things he did to this person, he still treats him gently. Yuto’s kindness is somehow suffocating. His desire and selfishness are getting masked by his ramp up guilt. He wraps his arms around Yuto’s waist and snuggles into his chest. Yuto pat him on the back, hoping he can soothe away his worries. He understands the pain of losing a family after all. Chinen feels calm in Yuto’s arms. Right now, he is the one by Yuto’s side, he is the one who embraced by Yuto and he is the one who get to shared his warmth so he should feel happy but in the deepest part of his heart, he can only find lonesome…

Yuto is gazing outside the window but with those empty eyes, who knows where or what he is staring at. The dim light of the sunset gives a bit of its orange colour into that dark classroom. Chinen still having his club meeting and Yuto is waiting for him. He’s keeping his promise which to stay by Chinen’s side but while he’s fulfilling it, he already forgot how to smile. He averts his eyes to the seat beside him which used to be Ryosuke’s seat. Since he left his house, Ryosuke never once speak to him nor meet his eyes with him. By the end of this month, they will graduate and leave this school behind. What will happen after that? Will he be able to see him again? Yuto take out the black collar from his pocket. His mind was always full of Ryosuke and he almost forgot about Kyo. It’s been a while since the last time he went to that place, where his dead cat was buried. He gets up from his seat and walk out from the classroom.
“Kyo-chan…gomen ne. I’ve promised that I’ll never leave his side but…I can’t. I can’t do that anymore…I’m too weak” Ryosuke is kneeling in front of the tree, staring at Kyo’s grave which already lost its trace. After he got separated with Yuto, his life became a mess. He misses Yuto so much but at the same time his heart arched in pain evertytime he thought about him. Every single day he wanted to skip school but it always ended up as fail attempt because deep down he was hoping to see him. He’s so consumed with his feelings until he doesn’t realize someone is walking toward him.
“Ryo?”
Ryosuke jolt in surpise and his heart pounding fast when he saw Yuto is standing behind him. They stare at each other for a while before Ryosuke avert his eyes away.
“How are you?” Yuto try to make a conversation. He wants to hear Ryosuke’s voice which he misses so much.
“Fine.” he answered, still not looking at Yuto.
“I…I need to go”, Ryosuke walk pass Yuto but the taller grab his wrist.
“Let me go.”
“I still need to talk with you.”
“There’s nothing we can talk about, Yuto.”
“Please, give me a chance.”
“No. I don’t want to. Can you let me go now?” Ryosuke try to break free from Yuto’s strong grip.
But Yuto doesn’t listen, he pulls Ryosuke’s wrist and hug him tightly.
“I miss you…I miss you so much”, Yuto whispers softly into Ryosuke’s ear and clutches his hair. Ryosuke’s lips are trembling. Yuto’s voice and his warmth cured the all pains in a second. His hands are moving up to reply the hug but he got his sense back to reality. Instead of hugging him back, he pushes Yuto away.
“What are you doing? You already have Chinen!”
“But Chinen is not the one that I love!” He wanted to scream that out loud but he can’t.
“I can’t stand this, Yuto. We shouldn’t see each other anymore.”
Yuto eyes widened to hear the last sentences. Just thinking of not being able to see him again makes him terrified. He doesn’t want that. He hates that. His legs feel weak seeing Ryosuke walking away from him. “No. Please, don’t go!”
“Ryosuke!!!” Yuto screamed out his name makes the older stopped immediately.
“I will stop bugging you from now on. I won’t talk to you anymore. I won’t lay a finger on you anymore” Yuto’s eyes become teary.
“I’ll make sure to keep a distance when I’m around you…dakara…please don’t say we shouldn’t see each other anymore…onegai…”
Tears are streaming down on Ryosuke’s cheeks. It’s a lie if he says Yuto’s words didn’t touch his heart even the slightest bit. He hates it either, for not being able to see him anymore. The truth is after all that happened, his love for Yuto has never changed. His love is still standing strong in his heart. Ryosuke turn around and walk slowly toward Yuto. His steps are getting faster and faster then he run, as fast as he could.
He wraps his arms around Yuto’s waist tightly and Yuto who stunned for a while slowly replies the hug and hold him with the same pressure. Ryosuke raise his head and tip-toeing to reach for Yuto’s lips. The taller lowers down his head and place his hand on Ryosuke’s neck to deepen the kiss. The kisses are so passionate, savoring each other lips hungrily, heads tilting and tongues battling for dominance. Their build up craves toward another gushing out uncontrollably. Ryosuke’s hands clenches on Yuto’s back, pressing their bodies together firmly leaving no space and Yuto tightened his arms around Ryosuke’s shoulders makes their teeth scrap against each other because of the close gap. It feels good. It’s like they are in their own world.
“Nakajima Yuto!” Chinen’s voice flinch them in surprised and broke their kiss. After Chinen finished his club meeting, he can’t find Yuto inside the classroom. He knew Yuto hasn’t go home yet because his bag is still on his desk. He was looking for him everywhere but he can’t find him. Then he decided to go here, the last place for his searching only two found him kissing passionety with Ryosuke.
“Nani yatten da yo” said Chinen while the two of them still not breaking the hug.
“Yuto, tell him that you love me and everything will be over” Ryosuke caressing Yuto’s cheek.
“I…I…” Yuto shuddering. He wants to say those words so badly.
“I lov-“
“If you ever leave me, I’ll kill myself in front of you”
Yuto suddenly remembered Chinen’s words. On that night at the bridge, Chinen made him promised with his life and left him no choice but to agree. He sacrificed his love for Chinen’s life and he almost forgot that.
“I’m sorry…” Yuto break the hug reluctantly and Ryosuke look at him with frown.
“Y-Yuto?”
“I’m sorry.”
Ryosuke clenches his fist. He understands exactly what Yuto mean by his ‘sorry’. Yuto still choose Chinen after all. He feels so stupid right now. For a moment, he thought that Yuto will say that he loves him but that was only his imagination.
“Saite. Mou daikirai!” Ryosuke run away while crying. He had it enough. No more hope left for him, no more.
Chinen look at Ryosuke’s back getting smaller until he’s gone completely then he turns to Yuto. The taller just stand still, frozen. Yuto feel so lost. It’s like the time has stopped ticking as well as his heart has stopped beating and he’s falling into a dark hollow with no end. Everything…becomes black and….empty.
Chinen stare at Yuto with painful eyes. It hurts to see Yuto like this, more hurtful than seeing him kissing with Ryosuke. Without realizing, Chinen’s tears falling down from his eyes…

Tomorrow, the third year students will graduate from the high school and will go on their own paths. Some of them are preparing for college entrance exams, some of them will start working and there are some of them who still haven’t decide what they will do after they graduated. The classroom filled with chatters and laughter as they are folding the white paper flowers for the graduation ceremony decorations. Outside at the school yard, the sakura trees are blooming beautifully. Even thought now everyone in cheerful mode, the three of them feel otherwise. Each of them is fighting with their own feelings.
The door slide opened by their homeroom teacher makes the class become quite for a while.
“Chinen-kun? Chotto ii?” the teacher called for Chinen. He walks out from the class and follows behind him, wondering why the teacher suddenly wants to meet him.
“I have a good news for you”, the teacher said.
“Eh?”
“I got a call from the hospital just now. Your mother…she’s awake.”
Chinen run as fast as he could into the hospital. His mother has finally awake. Only God knew how happy is he feeling right now. Finally, he could be together again with his mother, the only family he has now. As he reached in front of his mother’s room, he took a deep breath while holding the doorknob. As he opens the door, he saw his mother is sitting on the bed while smiling at him.
“Gomen ne, Yuri. You have a hard time because of me” said his mother.
“No, Okaasan. It’s not your fault. Otousan was the one who left us behind. I will never forgive him.”
“It’s not like that, Yuri. Your father did nothing wrong. He already tried his best to love me.”
“W-what do you mean?” Chinen confused.
“We…were forced to get married by our parents. I was happy because I’m already in love with him but not your father, he loves someone else. Even though I knew that, I still wanted to be with him. For the sake of his family, he sacrificed his love and married me.” Chinen frowned in surprised. This is the first time he ever heard something like that.
“Ever since we got married, he tried so hard to be a good husband and after you were borned, I thought he will come to love me but…even though we look like a happy family, he can never love me back. No matter how hard he tried, his heart was not meant for me.” she stretches her hand and caresses Chinen’s hair.
“Yuri…we can’t force someone to love us.”
Chinen’s tears are streaming down on his cheeks. He knew that now. In fact, he knew that long before he forced Yuto to stay by his side but he refused to accept it. He thought he can change that and he thought he can make Yuto fall for him but his mother was right. Chinen hold his mother’s hand firmly and look into her eyes. Her mother was suffering for the same reason as his all this long. Her calm, smiling face is telling him that she accepted everything and she is ready to move on. He too, should do the same.
“I understand…Okaasan.”

Today is the graduation day. The school seems so cheerful with all decorations and lively peoples around. The sakura petals flowing down from the blooming trees brighten up the happy environment.The graduation ceremony has passed smoothly and most of the students are taking pictures with the teachers and friends with the scrolls in their hands. Their faces are filled with smiles and laughters, enjoying the last moment they have in this high school.
From far, Yuto is staring at Ryosuke under the sakura tree, surrounded by a group of girls. Since this might be the last time they got to see their school idol, they used the chance fully. Somehow, he wishes he can be one of that group of girls. At least he can be near him and talk to him rather than just looking at him in this unbearable distance.
“Go and talk to him, Nakajima-kun” Chinen suddenly show up behind Yuto snapped him back to reality.
“Eh?” Yuto frowned. He doesn’t understand why Chinen asked him to go to Ryosuke.
“I know you can’t love me back, Nakajima-kun. Your love is only for him”, Chinen turn his head aside, looking at Ryosuke and Yuto follow at where his sight landed.
“But…I promised--“ Yuto avert his eyes back to Chinen.
“Forget about that promise. You deserve to be happy, Nakajima-kun. I’m letting you free.”
Yuto eyes widened in surprised. He doesn’t have to keep that promise anymore. All the burden he’s been carrying just lifted up from his shoulders. He feels so relieved and his lips parted to curve a smile but it stopped. His relieved face turns sad again. It’s no use even though he is free now. Ryosuke hates him. He sure no matter how much he begs, Ryosuke will never go back to him. Yuto already lost his hope.
“What’s wrong?” Chinen asked, wondering why Yuto doesn’t look happy though he should be.
“Arigatou, Chinen. I’m really grateful to you but there’s nothing I can do now. Ryo…he hates me.”
“So? You want to give up just like that? Maybe he still loves you.”
“I don’t think so.”
“But you don’t know it for sure. Just go there and tell Yamada-kun that you love him.”
“I…I can’t.”
“Why?”
“I don’t deserve him.”
Chinen let out a big sigh. Yuto’s stubbornness is getting annoying. He doesn’t want to let go of Yuto just for nothing.
“Fine. That’s mean someone else is more deserve to be with him right? Including me?” Chinen said it purposely. Yuto is being coward so he needs to do something.
“W-what?”
“Since I can’t make you mine, I need to move on now and I think Yamada-kun is a perfect guy for me” he said with a serious face.
“Jya, wish me luck~” Chinen walk toward Ryosuke leaving stunned Yuto behind.
“Minna, I need to talk with Yamada-kun. Could you leave us alone?” Chinen asked to those girls around Ryosuke. He makes sure the girls left them far away before he stand in front of Ryosuke.
“Don’t ask anything, don’t say anything, okay?” he warned.
“Huh?” Ryosuke frowned, doesn’t understand what is he trying to say.
Chinen suddenly place his both hands on Ryosuke’s shoulders makes his eyes blink in surprised. He even more surprised when Chinen tip-toeing and his face is getting closer to his.
“Wh-wh-wh-what are you doing?” Ryosuke panicked.
“Just shut up and play along!” Chinen mumble while smiling fakely. He leans closer and closer to Ryosuke’s face. Ryosuke can’t think of anything. He shut his eyes tightly and make a disgust face while Chinen is frowning terribly. Their lips are almost touching…
“Stop!!” Yuto screamed. Both Chinen and Ryosuke look at Yuto at the same time. Yuto is panting so hard. He dashed towads them as fast as lightning.
“Baka! What took you so long? I almost kiss him!” Chinen cursed in his mind.
“Chinen...you can’t…have him” Yuto try to speaks between his panting.
“Why can’t I?” Chinen smirk.
Ryosuke look at Yuto then he turns to Chinen, and then he looks at Yuto again. He’s so confused. What the hell are they talking about?
“Because…because I love him.”
“Finally” Chinen sigh.
Ryosuke froze and his lips parted. He can’t believe it. If he heard it right, Yuto just said that he loves him, those words which he’s been longing to hear. If this is a dream, he doesn’t want to wake up. Yuto step towards Ryosuke after he can breathe calmly and they look into each each other eye deeply. Chinen smile in satisfied. He feels so relieved those two can be together again. Now, he can finally move on.
“Well, my job is done here so I better leave.”
“Eh? But just now…you weren’t serious?” Yuto asked. Earlier, when he saw Chinen was going to kiss Ryosuke, his heart dropped. He was so terrified like a hell.
“Honestly, you really think I was serious? Please, I will never ever have feelings for Yamada-kun even though he’s the last person in the earth!” Chinen roll his eyes.
“Shitsurei na!” Ryosuke pout and Chinen is sticking his tongue out before he walks away with a smile. Ryosuke look at Chinen’s back which is getting smaller. Somehow, he knew why he pretend to kiss him just now and he felt grateful to him.
“Ryo, I’m sorry that I hurt you. Please, give me one more chance and I will never make you cry again.”
“Yuto, do you really love me?”
“Yes I do. I love you so much. All this time…there’s only you in my heart.”
Ryosuke smile widely. His eyes are watery but it’s the tears of happiness. Only God knows how he feels right now. At last, Yuto finally said that he loves him and that’s enough to makes him the happiest person in the entire universe. He stretches his hand to reach for Yuto’s cheek.
“I love you too.”
Yuto curved a bright smile on his lips. How long since the last time he smiled? He thought he already forgot how to do so. Only Ryosuke can make him smile like this. Ryosuke is the light that brightened up the darkness in his heart. Only he can bring happiness into his life. Yuto can’t live without him. He wraps his hands around Ryosuke’s shoulders gently before he pulls him into his embrace.
“Mou…hanasanai” Yuto whispered into Ryosuke’s eyes and he can feels Ryosuke’s arms tightened around him.
Ryosuke lift up his chin and look at the taller. The gap between their face is so close until they can feel each other breath on their skin.
“Kiss me” Ryosuke demand.
“But we’re still in school” Yuto replied, quite surprised of Ryosuke’s bold request.
“Who cares? We’re going to leave this school anyway.”
“You’re right. Who cares?” Yuto smile and pressed their lips together.
Chinen stop walking when he suddenly hears loud girls scream behind him. When he turns around, he saw the two lovebirds are kissing passionately, ignoring peoples around who are looking at them with mouth hanging open, the girls screaming hysterically and some even fainted, too shocked that their prince, the most popular guy in the school is kissing with Nakajima Yuto, the unpopular, bully-victim, and once so called no emotion, mute guy in the school.
Chinen just laugh looking at the baka-couples. Suddenly, a pair of arms appeared from behind him and wrapped around his neck gently. He’s a bit surprised at first but then he smiles. This scent, he recognized it so well.
“Okaeri, Ryu.”
“Tadaima” Ryutaro, his childhood friend replied.
“You didn’t tell me you’re coming back today.”
“I wanted to surprise you. But I was the one who get surprised instead.”
“Eh?”
“I saw everything, Chii. You’ve finally let him go and I’m so glad with that.”
“Ryu?”
“Hm?”
“Will you love me like how they love each other?”
“Of course…even more. I don’t mind being your pet. Do you want me to be your dog? Wan! Wan!”
“Ryu~ stop joking” both of them laugh before Chinen loosened Ryutaro’s hands and turns facing him.
“Could you wait a little more? I know somewhere in my heart there is a place for you” said Chinen, sincerely. He has known him for too long. Ryutaro is a part of his life. Deep down he knew, Ryutaro is someone so important to him and he wants to give him a chance, a chance to love and being loved.
“I’m willing to wait for the rest of my life if I had to. I already loved you for so long” Ryutaro kiss Chinen’s forehead gently and Chinen’s lips curving a smile. He can feel it, a bud of love is starting to grow in his heart.

Ryosuke walk into Yuto’s place and inhale deeply of Yuto’s scent that he misses so much. It has been a while since he comes here.
“This place is so empty when you left” Yuto take Ryosuke’s hand and bring it to his lips.
“It won’t be empty again from now on” Ryosuke tip-toeing and give a peck on Yuto’s lips.
“Ne~ Yuto, can you say it again?”
Yuto doesn’t need to ask more. He knew what Ryosuke’s mean. Before, Ryosuke was the one who always chanting those magic words and now, is his turn.
“Suki da yo.”
“Mou ikkai.”
“Suki.”
“Mou ikkai” Ryosuke is cupping Yuto’s cheek and the taller lowering his head.
“Daisuki” and their lips crashed against one another. Ryosuke parted his lips giving an entrance for Yuto to savour every inch of his mouth. Yuto’s lips travelling down to Ryosuke’s neck while his hands slowly taking off his blazer. Yuto travel back to Ryosuke’s lips, kissing him gently and carefully loosened up his tie. They are not in rush because their feelings right now is not only mere lust. They cherishing every kisses, every touches and every bit of love they have toward each other. All the time in the world is just for the two of them now.
Yuto push Ryosuke on the bed with their lips still locked against each other. Soft moans can be heard as Yuto nibble Ryosuke’s lower lip before he shoves his tongue inside Ryosuke’s mouth, savouring him into his fullness. They broke the kiss to catch some air. Ryosuke is breathing against Yuto’s lips while his hand unbuttoning Yuto’s shirt one by one. He about to kiss Yuto again but Yuto put two fingers on Ryosuke’s lips stopping him to do so.
“Chotto matte. I have something for you.”
“Eh?”
“Actually I wanted to give it long time before.”
“What is it?” Ryosuke feel so excited. Yuto never give him any present before. He can’t wait to see it.
Yuto grab something under his bed and bring out a black box. Yuto open up the box and take out the ‘present’. Ryosuke’s eyes widened as he saw a cat ears headband in Yuto’s hand and what’s up with the colour? It exactly the same as his hair!
“Na-na-na-nanja kore!!!”

It’s already dawn and Ryosuke still waiting. He didn’t sleep throughout the night as his eyes only looking at the front door while hugging his knees, hoping the door will open in any time soon and Yuto will comes in, smiling at him but until now Yuto still hasn’t come back. He has been trying to call Yuto until his phone running out of battery but Yuto never once pick up his calls. If only Yuto told him where he was going last night, he already ran out there and finds him.
“Doko icchatta no…Yuto…” he mumbles softly, resting his chin on his knees and his eyes are threatening to close. He’s tired, waiting is so tiring. He almost falls asleep when he heard the door being opened. He jumps off from the couch while smiling widely the moment he see Yuto and run toward the entrance. He wants to hug Yuto right away, kiss him and tell him how much he misses him. He didn’t see Yuto for only one night but it feels like thousand years.
“Yuto! Okae--“ Ryosuke’s smile dropped and he didn’t finish his sentence as he saw Chinen behind Yuto. He looks at Yuto in confused but what more confusing, there is pain in his eyes.
“Ryo, Chinen will live here for the time being.”
“Eh?” Ryosuke is in total surprised.
“Why?”
“With his current condition, he can’t live alone.”
Ryosuke look at Chinen. He does understand his problem. His father left them and his mother still unconscious in the hospital but why Yuto? Doesn’t he have other relatives he could rely on? How about him if Chinen lives here? He just couldn’t bring himself to accept this.
“For how long?”
“I…I don’t know” after Yuto answered, Chinen reach his hand to hold Yuto’s arm making Ryosuke frowned in displeased.
“Nakajima-kun…you promised me that you will stay by my side right? So, it doesn’t matter how long should I stay here”, Chinen look straight into Ryosuke’s eyes when he said that and tightened his grip on Yuto’s arm. He wants to see his reaction. Nothing else could make him satisfied than seeing Ryosuke’s face which always covered with smiles and laughter turn full of misery. And he gets what he wanted. Ryosuke stoned in his position with his eyes open wide and frown terribly.
“Yuto…w-what is he saying?” Ryosuke’s voice is shaking. Just now, Chinen said something about Yuto promised to stay by his side, what it’s actually mean?
“I’m saying, Nakajima-kun choose to stay by my side and from now on, I’m staying here with him”, Chinen snuggle closer to Yuto and the taller close his eyes to hold his tears. His heart feels so tight until it’s hard to breathe as he can’t say anything about Chinen’s words and it hurts more to see the person he loves trembling before his eyes.
“Tell me this…this isn’t true, Yuto” the taller didn’t say anything. He locked his sight on the floor.
“Please…” Ryosuke beg but Yuto still remain silent.
“I’m sorry…” Yuto spoke after a long pause but that is not the kind of answer that he wanted.
Ryosuke stepping back weakly and cover his mouth with his hands. Tears are running down on his cheeks though he still doesn’t understand anything. It hurts. It hurts so much to see Chinen’s hands wrapping tightly around Yuto’s arm with smirk on his face and Yuto just letting him. What actually happened last night until Yuto made such promise? But whatever reason it is, Yuto choose to be with him.
“He doesn’t love me anymore…no wait, he never told me that he loves me” Ryosuke stop sniffing and wipe off his tears. How foolish of him to think that Yuto’s gentleness, his concern, his kisses, his touches was all because of he loves him. Yuto was only being nice to him because he treated him as a pet, not more than that. From beginning, Yuto could never love him more than a friend, not even more than a pet. Everything was nothing but a dream and it’s time for him to wake up from this long, tiring dream. Ryosuke walk into Yuto’s bedroom and start packing his things.
“Ryo, what are doing?” Yuto asked panicky as he saw Ryosuke throwing his clothes in his luggage.
“There’s no need for me to stay here anymore”, Ryosuke zipping his luggage and stepping toward the entrance door.
“Ryo!” Yuto grabbed his arm with strong grip, stopping him from walking. He dropped his luggage and turns to Yuto. There is trace of tears on Ryosuke’s cheeks but his face shows no emotion.
“Call me disloyal but I’m leaving my owner. I’m leaving you. Sayonara” Ryosuke take off his collar and throw it somewhere on the floor before he walk out from the door and never look back.
“Ryosuke!!” Yuto fall on his knees in front of the closed door. Tears that he’s been holding in are pouring down recklessly.
Chinen’s legs become weak seeing Yuto crying on the floor. His mother’s screamed calling for his father ringing in his ears and her image when she cried after his father left keep replaying in his mind. He scared if Yuto do the same thing as his mother did. Despite his trembling legs, he walks toward the taller and wraps his hands tightly around Yuto’s neck from behind.
“Nakajima-kun, please don’t cry. I’m here…I’ll always be here…”

Yamada-san surprised to see her son suddenly came back with his luggage and without saying anything he just walk toward his room with sour face.
“Ara…I wonder what happened to Ryo-chan. Did he have fight with Nakajima-kun?” she asked her husband who is sitting on the couch while holding his newspaper.
“See? I told you it’s not a good idea to let him stay with his troublesome friend” Ryosuke’s father answered before he continue reading the newspaper.
“Anata…” she’s sighing.
Ryosuke throw himself on the bed and buried his face on the pillow. He wanted to cry but his tears already dried out. He’s been crying all the way home regardless peoples around looking at him strangely. His head hurt so much until he can’t even feel the pain in his chest caused by his shattered heart, stabbing every each of his veins. He just wants to sleep and forget everything…

Chinen is walking to school together with Yuto. Although Yuto is beside him, it feels like he’s walking alone. Yuto doesn’t speak a word and always look down as if he’s counting every rock of the pavement. He only answered his questions with a nod and ‘un’ and sometime he doesn’t answer at all because his mind is somewhere else and he doesn’t even hear a thing of what Chinen said. Deep down, Chinen knew that Yuto is suffering inside and he also doesn’t like being treated as if he is invisible but he shrugs off those feelings away because his greediness to own Yuto for himself is far greater than his feeling. He’s fine being treated like this as long as he can keep Yuto by his side…or so he thought.
Yuto and Chinen walk into the classroom and Yuto finally rise up his head as he saw Ryosuke. Along the way to his seat, he only gazes at Ryosuke but the other doesn’t even look at him, just busying himself writing on his note book. After he sit down, he still staring at Ryosuke, hoping he will at least look him back only for a second.
“Ryo…” Yuto’s soft voice calling for his name shakes up Ryosuke’s heart for a bit. His grips around his pen become tighter. He misses that voice so much but his pride telling him to ignore. Chinen saw Yuto’s hurt looking face but it hurt him more as the first word that came out from Yuto’s mouth since yesterday is his name.
“Please…talk to me.”
“Ryosuke…” he pleads as Ryosuke still ignoring him and Chinen avert his eyes to his side while biting his bottom lip, feeling so irritated. Hearing Yuto who hasn’t spoken a word to him, begging and calling Ryosuke’s name it’s like a piercing sound, bleeding out of his ears.
Ryosuke is getting weaker toward Yuto’s pleads. The painfulness in Yuto’s voice melted his ice cold heart. He really wants to turn aside and let himself drowned into Yuto’s eyes but he can’t get carried away. He can’t let Yuto make a fool out of him again, not this time, not ever. The moment their homeroom teacher enter the classroom, Ryosuke rise up his hand.
“Sensei.”
“Hai, Yamada-kun?”
“My eyesight is getting worst lately. Could I change to front seat, please?”
Yuto look at Ryosuke in total surprised. He didn’t expect Ryosuke want to distance himself from him this much. Not just he doesn’t want to talk with him, he can’t even stand to be near him anymore.
“Hmm…shikatanai na. Etou...Tamaki-kun? Would you mind change seat with Yamada-kun?” the teacher asked his student who sit in front row.
“Iie, daijoubu desu” Tamaki start packing his things and Ryosuke also doing the same thing.
He takes his bag which hanging at the side of his desk and at that time, his eyes meet Yuto’s. He can’t bear the way Yuto look at him with those lonely eyes so he averts his sight away. Yuto smile bitterly seeing Ryosuke’s back as he walks toward his new seat. After what he had done to Ryosuke, he has every right to hate him. The person he ever loves the most is no longer by his side but as long as he is here in this school though he can only see his back, it’s more than enough. He knew that he deserved this kind of punishment. He deserved to be this pathetic. Yuto fold his arms on the table before resting his chin on them and gazing outside the window. As the sunlight beaming through the white curtains, Chinen saw sparkling tear running down Yuto’s pale face.
Chinen doesn’t understand himself. He should be happy now that he finally broke them apart. He should be celebrating as Ryosuke won’t lay a finger on his Yuto anymore. But his mind and his heart are telling him different things. His mind saying that he deserved to be happy after all cruel things he been through while the other saying that he’s the one who being cruel toward them even though he knew they are madly in love with each other. How can he be happy knowing such truth? He’s so confused, don’t know which one he should listen to and end up with upset stomach.
With a blink of eyes, season exchanged and soon they will graduate from this high school…

Chinen is sighing in front of the hospital room door with his mother’s name written on it. He looks at Yuto who’s standing beside him. He has become skinnier these past few months, liveless like a walking dead. With his empty eyes, he still curves a little smile trying to give him strength to walk into that room and see his unconscious mother. Chinen smile back to him. Yuto has always accompanied him everytime he went visit his mother without complaining. He started to respon now when Chinen talked to him even though there’s not many words came out and he also took a good care of him at home but fact that he can never fill the emptiness inside Yuto’s heart, he always knew that.
“Ohayou, Okaasan” Chinen greet but only answered with silent. His mother’s eyes still closed and sleeping peacefully as if she doesn’t want to wake up. Chinen sit at beside the bed and hold her hand tightly while Yuto standing there, looking at the unconscious woman.
“Okaasan…please wake up”, Chinen bring her hand against his lips and his eyes become teary. No matter how much he cried, his mother is not giving him any hope that she will wake up from her long sleep even the doctor can’t do anything and just waiting.
Yuto shut the door behind him after Chinen walks out and look at Chinen who is wiping his tears. He feels sympathy towards him but that’s all he can feel about him.
“Everything will be fine”, Yuto said as he’s patting the younger’s head softly.
Chinen feels tight in his chest. After all cruel things he did to this person, he still treats him gently. Yuto’s kindness is somehow suffocating. His desire and selfishness are getting masked by his ramp up guilt. He wraps his arms around Yuto’s waist and snuggles into his chest. Yuto pat him on the back, hoping he can soothe away his worries. He understands the pain of losing a family after all. Chinen feels calm in Yuto’s arms. Right now, he is the one by Yuto’s side, he is the one who embraced by Yuto and he is the one who get to shared his warmth so he should feel happy but in the deepest part of his heart, he can only find lonesome…

Yuto is gazing outside the window but with those empty eyes, who knows where or what he is staring at. The dim light of the sunset gives a bit of its orange colour into that dark classroom. Chinen still having his club meeting and Yuto is waiting for him. He’s keeping his promise which to stay by Chinen’s side but while he’s fulfilling it, he already forgot how to smile. He averts his eyes to the seat beside him which used to be Ryosuke’s seat. Since he left his house, Ryosuke never once speak to him nor meet his eyes with him. By the end of this month, they will graduate and leave this school behind. What will happen after that? Will he be able to see him again? Yuto take out the black collar from his pocket. His mind was always full of Ryosuke and he almost forgot about Kyo. It’s been a while since the last time he went to that place, where his dead cat was buried. He gets up from his seat and walk out from the classroom.
“Kyo-chan…gomen ne. I’ve promised that I’ll never leave his side but…I can’t. I can’t do that anymore…I’m too weak” Ryosuke is kneeling in front of the tree, staring at Kyo’s grave which already lost its trace. After he got separated with Yuto, his life became a mess. He misses Yuto so much but at the same time his heart arched in pain evertytime he thought about him. Every single day he wanted to skip school but it always ended up as fail attempt because deep down he was hoping to see him. He’s so consumed with his feelings until he doesn’t realize someone is walking toward him.
“Ryo?”
Ryosuke jolt in surpise and his heart pounding fast when he saw Yuto is standing behind him. They stare at each other for a while before Ryosuke avert his eyes away.
“How are you?” Yuto try to make a conversation. He wants to hear Ryosuke’s voice which he misses so much.
“Fine.” he answered, still not looking at Yuto.
“I…I need to go”, Ryosuke walk pass Yuto but the taller grab his wrist.
“Let me go.”
“I still need to talk with you.”
“There’s nothing we can talk about, Yuto.”
“Please, give me a chance.”
“No. I don’t want to. Can you let me go now?” Ryosuke try to break free from Yuto’s strong grip.
But Yuto doesn’t listen, he pulls Ryosuke’s wrist and hug him tightly.
“I miss you…I miss you so much”, Yuto whispers softly into Ryosuke’s ear and clutches his hair. Ryosuke’s lips are trembling. Yuto’s voice and his warmth cured the all pains in a second. His hands are moving up to reply the hug but he got his sense back to reality. Instead of hugging him back, he pushes Yuto away.
“What are you doing? You already have Chinen!”
“But Chinen is not the one that I love!” He wanted to scream that out loud but he can’t.
“I can’t stand this, Yuto. We shouldn’t see each other anymore.”
Yuto eyes widened to hear the last sentences. Just thinking of not being able to see him again makes him terrified. He doesn’t want that. He hates that. His legs feel weak seeing Ryosuke walking away from him. “No. Please, don’t go!”
“Ryosuke!!!” Yuto screamed out his name makes the older stopped immediately.
“I will stop bugging you from now on. I won’t talk to you anymore. I won’t lay a finger on you anymore” Yuto’s eyes become teary.
“I’ll make sure to keep a distance when I’m around you…dakara…please don’t say we shouldn’t see each other anymore…onegai…”
Tears are streaming down on Ryosuke’s cheeks. It’s a lie if he says Yuto’s words didn’t touch his heart even the slightest bit. He hates it either, for not being able to see him anymore. The truth is after all that happened, his love for Yuto has never changed. His love is still standing strong in his heart. Ryosuke turn around and walk slowly toward Yuto. His steps are getting faster and faster then he run, as fast as he could.
He wraps his arms around Yuto’s waist tightly and Yuto who stunned for a while slowly replies the hug and hold him with the same pressure. Ryosuke raise his head and tip-toeing to reach for Yuto’s lips. The taller lowers down his head and place his hand on Ryosuke’s neck to deepen the kiss. The kisses are so passionate, savoring each other lips hungrily, heads tilting and tongues battling for dominance. Their build up craves toward another gushing out uncontrollably. Ryosuke’s hands clenches on Yuto’s back, pressing their bodies together firmly leaving no space and Yuto tightened his arms around Ryosuke’s shoulders makes their teeth scrap against each other because of the close gap. It feels good. It’s like they are in their own world.
“Nakajima Yuto!” Chinen’s voice flinch them in surprised and broke their kiss. After Chinen finished his club meeting, he can’t find Yuto inside the classroom. He knew Yuto hasn’t go home yet because his bag is still on his desk. He was looking for him everywhere but he can’t find him. Then he decided to go here, the last place for his searching only two found him kissing passionety with Ryosuke.
“Nani yatten da yo” said Chinen while the two of them still not breaking the hug.
“Yuto, tell him that you love me and everything will be over” Ryosuke caressing Yuto’s cheek.
“I…I…” Yuto shuddering. He wants to say those words so badly.
“I lov-“
“If you ever leave me, I’ll kill myself in front of you”
Yuto suddenly remembered Chinen’s words. On that night at the bridge, Chinen made him promised with his life and left him no choice but to agree. He sacrificed his love for Chinen’s life and he almost forgot that.
“I’m sorry…” Yuto break the hug reluctantly and Ryosuke look at him with frown.
“Y-Yuto?”
“I’m sorry.”
Ryosuke clenches his fist. He understands exactly what Yuto mean by his ‘sorry’. Yuto still choose Chinen after all. He feels so stupid right now. For a moment, he thought that Yuto will say that he loves him but that was only his imagination.
“Saite. Mou daikirai!” Ryosuke run away while crying. He had it enough. No more hope left for him, no more.
Chinen look at Ryosuke’s back getting smaller until he’s gone completely then he turns to Yuto. The taller just stand still, frozen. Yuto feel so lost. It’s like the time has stopped ticking as well as his heart has stopped beating and he’s falling into a dark hollow with no end. Everything…becomes black and….empty.
Chinen stare at Yuto with painful eyes. It hurts to see Yuto like this, more hurtful than seeing him kissing with Ryosuke. Without realizing, Chinen’s tears falling down from his eyes…

Tomorrow, the third year students will graduate from the high school and will go on their own paths. Some of them are preparing for college entrance exams, some of them will start working and there are some of them who still haven’t decide what they will do after they graduated. The classroom filled with chatters and laughter as they are folding the white paper flowers for the graduation ceremony decorations. Outside at the school yard, the sakura trees are blooming beautifully. Even thought now everyone in cheerful mode, the three of them feel otherwise. Each of them is fighting with their own feelings.
The door slide opened by their homeroom teacher makes the class become quite for a while.
“Chinen-kun? Chotto ii?” the teacher called for Chinen. He walks out from the class and follows behind him, wondering why the teacher suddenly wants to meet him.
“I have a good news for you”, the teacher said.
“Eh?”
“I got a call from the hospital just now. Your mother…she’s awake.”
Chinen run as fast as he could into the hospital. His mother has finally awake. Only God knew how happy is he feeling right now. Finally, he could be together again with his mother, the only family he has now. As he reached in front of his mother’s room, he took a deep breath while holding the doorknob. As he opens the door, he saw his mother is sitting on the bed while smiling at him.
“Gomen ne, Yuri. You have a hard time because of me” said his mother.
“No, Okaasan. It’s not your fault. Otousan was the one who left us behind. I will never forgive him.”
“It’s not like that, Yuri. Your father did nothing wrong. He already tried his best to love me.”
“W-what do you mean?” Chinen confused.
“We…were forced to get married by our parents. I was happy because I’m already in love with him but not your father, he loves someone else. Even though I knew that, I still wanted to be with him. For the sake of his family, he sacrificed his love and married me.” Chinen frowned in surprised. This is the first time he ever heard something like that.
“Ever since we got married, he tried so hard to be a good husband and after you were borned, I thought he will come to love me but…even though we look like a happy family, he can never love me back. No matter how hard he tried, his heart was not meant for me.” she stretches her hand and caresses Chinen’s hair.
“Yuri…we can’t force someone to love us.”
Chinen’s tears are streaming down on his cheeks. He knew that now. In fact, he knew that long before he forced Yuto to stay by his side but he refused to accept it. He thought he can change that and he thought he can make Yuto fall for him but his mother was right. Chinen hold his mother’s hand firmly and look into her eyes. Her mother was suffering for the same reason as his all this long. Her calm, smiling face is telling him that she accepted everything and she is ready to move on. He too, should do the same.
“I understand…Okaasan.”

Today is the graduation day. The school seems so cheerful with all decorations and lively peoples around. The sakura petals flowing down from the blooming trees brighten up the happy environment.The graduation ceremony has passed smoothly and most of the students are taking pictures with the teachers and friends with the scrolls in their hands. Their faces are filled with smiles and laughters, enjoying the last moment they have in this high school.
From far, Yuto is staring at Ryosuke under the sakura tree, surrounded by a group of girls. Since this might be the last time they got to see their school idol, they used the chance fully. Somehow, he wishes he can be one of that group of girls. At least he can be near him and talk to him rather than just looking at him in this unbearable distance.
“Go and talk to him, Nakajima-kun” Chinen suddenly show up behind Yuto snapped him back to reality.
“Eh?” Yuto frowned. He doesn’t understand why Chinen asked him to go to Ryosuke.
“I know you can’t love me back, Nakajima-kun. Your love is only for him”, Chinen turn his head aside, looking at Ryosuke and Yuto follow at where his sight landed.
“But…I promised--“ Yuto avert his eyes back to Chinen.
“Forget about that promise. You deserve to be happy, Nakajima-kun. I’m letting you free.”
Yuto eyes widened in surprised. He doesn’t have to keep that promise anymore. All the burden he’s been carrying just lifted up from his shoulders. He feels so relieved and his lips parted to curve a smile but it stopped. His relieved face turns sad again. It’s no use even though he is free now. Ryosuke hates him. He sure no matter how much he begs, Ryosuke will never go back to him. Yuto already lost his hope.
“What’s wrong?” Chinen asked, wondering why Yuto doesn’t look happy though he should be.
“Arigatou, Chinen. I’m really grateful to you but there’s nothing I can do now. Ryo…he hates me.”
“So? You want to give up just like that? Maybe he still loves you.”
“I don’t think so.”
“But you don’t know it for sure. Just go there and tell Yamada-kun that you love him.”
“I…I can’t.”
“Why?”
“I don’t deserve him.”
Chinen let out a big sigh. Yuto’s stubbornness is getting annoying. He doesn’t want to let go of Yuto just for nothing.
“Fine. That’s mean someone else is more deserve to be with him right? Including me?” Chinen said it purposely. Yuto is being coward so he needs to do something.
“W-what?”
“Since I can’t make you mine, I need to move on now and I think Yamada-kun is a perfect guy for me” he said with a serious face.
“Jya, wish me luck~” Chinen walk toward Ryosuke leaving stunned Yuto behind.
“Minna, I need to talk with Yamada-kun. Could you leave us alone?” Chinen asked to those girls around Ryosuke. He makes sure the girls left them far away before he stand in front of Ryosuke.
“Don’t ask anything, don’t say anything, okay?” he warned.
“Huh?” Ryosuke frowned, doesn’t understand what is he trying to say.
Chinen suddenly place his both hands on Ryosuke’s shoulders makes his eyes blink in surprised. He even more surprised when Chinen tip-toeing and his face is getting closer to his.
“Wh-wh-wh-what are you doing?” Ryosuke panicked.
“Just shut up and play along!” Chinen mumble while smiling fakely. He leans closer and closer to Ryosuke’s face. Ryosuke can’t think of anything. He shut his eyes tightly and make a disgust face while Chinen is frowning terribly. Their lips are almost touching…
“Stop!!” Yuto screamed. Both Chinen and Ryosuke look at Yuto at the same time. Yuto is panting so hard. He dashed towads them as fast as lightning.
“Baka! What took you so long? I almost kiss him!” Chinen cursed in his mind.
“Chinen...you can’t…have him” Yuto try to speaks between his panting.
“Why can’t I?” Chinen smirk.
Ryosuke look at Yuto then he turns to Chinen, and then he looks at Yuto again. He’s so confused. What the hell are they talking about?
“Because…because I love him.”
“Finally” Chinen sigh.
Ryosuke froze and his lips parted. He can’t believe it. If he heard it right, Yuto just said that he loves him, those words which he’s been longing to hear. If this is a dream, he doesn’t want to wake up. Yuto step towards Ryosuke after he can breathe calmly and they look into each each other eye deeply. Chinen smile in satisfied. He feels so relieved those two can be together again. Now, he can finally move on.
“Well, my job is done here so I better leave.”
“Eh? But just now…you weren’t serious?” Yuto asked. Earlier, when he saw Chinen was going to kiss Ryosuke, his heart dropped. He was so terrified like a hell.
“Honestly, you really think I was serious? Please, I will never ever have feelings for Yamada-kun even though he’s the last person in the earth!” Chinen roll his eyes.
“Shitsurei na!” Ryosuke pout and Chinen is sticking his tongue out before he walks away with a smile. Ryosuke look at Chinen’s back which is getting smaller. Somehow, he knew why he pretend to kiss him just now and he felt grateful to him.
“Ryo, I’m sorry that I hurt you. Please, give me one more chance and I will never make you cry again.”
“Yuto, do you really love me?”
“Yes I do. I love you so much. All this time…there’s only you in my heart.”
Ryosuke smile widely. His eyes are watery but it’s the tears of happiness. Only God knows how he feels right now. At last, Yuto finally said that he loves him and that’s enough to makes him the happiest person in the entire universe. He stretches his hand to reach for Yuto’s cheek.
“I love you too.”
Yuto curved a bright smile on his lips. How long since the last time he smiled? He thought he already forgot how to do so. Only Ryosuke can make him smile like this. Ryosuke is the light that brightened up the darkness in his heart. Only he can bring happiness into his life. Yuto can’t live without him. He wraps his hands around Ryosuke’s shoulders gently before he pulls him into his embrace.
“Mou…hanasanai” Yuto whispered into Ryosuke’s eyes and he can feels Ryosuke’s arms tightened around him.
Ryosuke lift up his chin and look at the taller. The gap between their face is so close until they can feel each other breath on their skin.
“Kiss me” Ryosuke demand.
“But we’re still in school” Yuto replied, quite surprised of Ryosuke’s bold request.
“Who cares? We’re going to leave this school anyway.”
“You’re right. Who cares?” Yuto smile and pressed their lips together.
Chinen stop walking when he suddenly hears loud girls scream behind him. When he turns around, he saw the two lovebirds are kissing passionately, ignoring peoples around who are looking at them with mouth hanging open, the girls screaming hysterically and some even fainted, too shocked that their prince, the most popular guy in the school is kissing with Nakajima Yuto, the unpopular, bully-victim, and once so called no emotion, mute guy in the school.
Chinen just laugh looking at the baka-couples. Suddenly, a pair of arms appeared from behind him and wrapped around his neck gently. He’s a bit surprised at first but then he smiles. This scent, he recognized it so well.
“Okaeri, Ryu.”
“Tadaima” Ryutaro, his childhood friend replied.
“You didn’t tell me you’re coming back today.”
“I wanted to surprise you. But I was the one who get surprised instead.”
“Eh?”
“I saw everything, Chii. You’ve finally let him go and I’m so glad with that.”
“Ryu?”
“Hm?”
“Will you love me like how they love each other?”
“Of course…even more. I don’t mind being your pet. Do you want me to be your dog? Wan! Wan!”
“Ryu~ stop joking” both of them laugh before Chinen loosened Ryutaro’s hands and turns facing him.
“Could you wait a little more? I know somewhere in my heart there is a place for you” said Chinen, sincerely. He has known him for too long. Ryutaro is a part of his life. Deep down he knew, Ryutaro is someone so important to him and he wants to give him a chance, a chance to love and being loved.
“I’m willing to wait for the rest of my life if I had to. I already loved you for so long” Ryutaro kiss Chinen’s forehead gently and Chinen’s lips curving a smile. He can feel it, a bud of love is starting to grow in his heart.

Ryosuke walk into Yuto’s place and inhale deeply of Yuto’s scent that he misses so much. It has been a while since he comes here.
“This place is so empty when you left” Yuto take Ryosuke’s hand and bring it to his lips.
“It won’t be empty again from now on” Ryosuke tip-toeing and give a peck on Yuto’s lips.
“Ne~ Yuto, can you say it again?”
Yuto doesn’t need to ask more. He knew what Ryosuke’s mean. Before, Ryosuke was the one who always chanting those magic words and now, is his turn.
“Suki da yo.”
“Mou ikkai.”
“Suki.”
“Mou ikkai” Ryosuke is cupping Yuto’s cheek and the taller lowering his head.
“Daisuki” and their lips crashed against one another. Ryosuke parted his lips giving an entrance for Yuto to savour every inch of his mouth. Yuto’s lips travelling down to Ryosuke’s neck while his hands slowly taking off his blazer. Yuto travel back to Ryosuke’s lips, kissing him gently and carefully loosened up his tie. They are not in rush because their feelings right now is not only mere lust. They cherishing every kisses, every touches and every bit of love they have toward each other. All the time in the world is just for the two of them now.
Yuto push Ryosuke on the bed with their lips still locked against each other. Soft moans can be heard as Yuto nibble Ryosuke’s lower lip before he shoves his tongue inside Ryosuke’s mouth, savouring him into his fullness. They broke the kiss to catch some air. Ryosuke is breathing against Yuto’s lips while his hand unbuttoning Yuto’s shirt one by one. He about to kiss Yuto again but Yuto put two fingers on Ryosuke’s lips stopping him to do so.
“Chotto matte. I have something for you.”
“Eh?”
“Actually I wanted to give it long time before.”
“What is it?” Ryosuke feel so excited. Yuto never give him any present before. He can’t wait to see it.
Yuto grab something under his bed and bring out a black box. Yuto open up the box and take out the ‘present’. Ryosuke’s eyes widened as he saw a cat ears headband in Yuto’s hand and what’s up with the colour? It exactly the same as his hair!
“Na-na-na-nanja kore!!!”
