Why in the world do I want plates?
I was shopping with Kayla for apartment stuff as she is moving to Laffayette soon and needs a couch cover and a few other home furnishing type things. We ended up at pier 1 near the end of the outing and by that time we'd already looked in the home furnishings sections of most of the department stores in the mall. I had a $25 gift card to pier 1 because I got it 2 christmases back and never used it(I don't really do home furnishings; I have a hand-me-down couch, garage-sale bed, and a beanbag chair for goodness sake). So I start looking at plates and find a set I love. I mean they're simple and almost elegant. The design is that of a solid white plate with mid-sized black flower outline print on it. I think they're great.
It's wierd... it's like I'm nesting or something. I'm at this place where I'd like to make my home, I dunno, homey(not the clown). I want to have nice, coordinated things. I want dishes that match and glass cups(instead of the plastic cups I catch at mardi gras every year). The silly thing is that I don't even have a kitchen table yet. What would I do with dishes??? I dunno, i'm feeling wierd today...
