One of the greatest things about being at Auburn University is that the faculty is not required to wear @!#$%^&*ing, stifling, strangling, NECKTIES! I love it! I love being able to unbutton my top button (if only to show a hint of hair as evidence of what's below). Last night, in honor of Auburn's great policy on attire, I bought myself four new patterned dress shirts without having to worry about how they would go with a tie. Well, the shopping was probably more about cheering myself up than my appearance, but it's a good justification anyway. Money may not be able to buy you happiness, but Michael Kors and Liz Claiborne shirts can sure make you at least temporarily content.
