A friend mentioned the first set of verses to me today, and I came back to check what they said. Amazing that they talk about the stars, because our conversation was actually about the stars and how I can actually see quite a lot in Singapore sometimes, and how they remind me that there're much bigger and more wonderful things than ourselves out there.
Psalm 8:3-4
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
Psalm 19:1-4
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
3 There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.
4 Their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
Aaaaahh I cannot express how lovely these verses are to me. I know that I don't often talk about my faith in school... I still am not too sure how to talk about it on my LJ either, mostly because I think I often don't live properly then it's quite, hypocritical to quote and quote then don't act? Aargh I dunno. Haha!
The sky in Botanics
Before I started searching for these verses I was really quite annoyed this thing that was going on with DP practice slots and I was just getting really worked up about how far away KR is etc. etc. (as if I didn't know that when I first agreed!)... but after reading these and remembering the beautiful skies I've seen, it all seems so small.
