I saw this woman on an overhead bridge. When I first passed by, it felt too awkward to just stop suddenly, but I kept thinking about her- so when I walked by again a few minutes later (we'd crossed to check out a restaurant), I stopped and asked her how much a bracelet was. I was prepared to get completely cheated, but to my surprise she said 5元 and obviously I wasn't going to bargain when it was already much lower than what I was prepared to pay (20, 30元?).
The bracelet was made from flowerbuds and it smelt really, really nice - something like a mix between lilies and jasmine? It wilted by the evening, but it was probably the most well-spent 5元 of my entire trip. (:
