I gotta stop doing this...
Another busy weekend for me, as it has been for the last 3 months.
Friday - Went over to my parent's house to celebrate my sister's 22nd birthday. Had some good food and DQ ice cream cake. Despite the money fiasco which still isn't resolved the family and I went out to see Ratatouille & Meet the Robinsons at the Drive-In theatre and had a better time. Ratatouille was pretty good as expected. It was cute, but I didn't like it as much as Cars or Finding Nemo. I'm amazed with the overall detail that Pixar movies have with each new movie they create. Compared to the other Disney (not Pixar) release Meet the Robinsons, it made the realism even clearer. Now Meet the Robinsons was a pretty good story, but at times it was really off the wall. The movie goes on pretty much leaving no questions unanswered and does it in a blatantly obvious way. It was fun, but by 2:30a it was time to go home.
Saturday - Cindy had to work, Jacob and I woke up much later due to going to bed so late from the night before. We got our usual stuff done, like food shopping, going to the bank, and paying bills. Jacob didn't get his nap in until about 3, I should have taken one as well. When Cindy got home from work we had to get ready and go to a wedding reception for a friend of ours. I was tired, didn't really want to go, but we ended up having a good time. Jacob loved dancing and he managed to score two different girlfriends. One of them he had no trouble hugging, the other he tried to avoid like the plague. He finally gave in and the girl hugged him so hard that she ended up tackling him.
Sunday - I decided enough was enough and would actually get stuff done at home. I made a nice breakfast for us and just chilled out for most of the morning. Cindy and I ventured outside and did some yardwork and the sun and heat really beat me down. By the afternoon Cindy took Jacob to my parent's house for my sister's college graduation party / Pampered Chef party. I went ahead and got some much needed yardwork done. There's remnants of our pool still remaining along with lots and lots of lava rocks. We're going to reuse them at various places throughout our yard. Still the sun and heat beat me down more but I got stuff somewhat done. I still have lots of cleaning up to do with the pool area. We're going to reuse the sand area left behind from where the pool was and make it a volleyball court.
Needless to say I'm a little sore today, this weekend is going to be awesome though. Camping at Holiday World!!
