Even though I was ready to rock n' roll yesterday at 7am, I'm sure as heck not going to turn down a snow day from the company. I woke up at 5 since I knew I would be spending quite a bit of time digging. It took me about two hours, but dang it we have a perfectly clear driveway! Nothing irritates me more than to have snow in the driveway, but that doesn't mean I don't love the snow.
Since we had these gargantuan piles of snow on each side of our driveway, Cindy and I took some time to make a nice long gradual slope on a pile that was about 4 ft tall. We did this while Jacob was taking his nap. The slope ended up going along side the entire length of our driveway! After Jacob woke up, he had his lunch and then we ventured outside to go play in the snow! He really didn't have to do much since we put him belly down, head first on a sled and sent him down this hill. He loved it! He would do this little scream as soon as he saw that he was at the top of the hill, and he'd scream all the way down the hill. Of course Cindy and I got to slide down with him as well. I took quite a few pictures and some video since this was one heck of a blizzard that we'll remember for a long time.
Our Valentine's day was perfect. We got to spend all day together and that's all we really wanted. The gifts were kind of nice though. I got her some chocolate and a card and a
really cool toy (Don't worry, it's a PG rated toy). Her favorite part of the toy is that it's PINK and we're talking Pepto-Bismol PINK! We're talking of course about her new Creative Labs Zen MP3 player, special thanks to a really nice online coupon I received. It's a 30 gig player with a color screen. She can play video and listen to FM radio as well! When we get some more extra money I'm going to get myself a black one because I found myself playing with it more than she was. I uploaded a bunch of music onto it and she's been listening to it around the house. I also got a Tunecast that will allow her to listen to the MP3 player on her car stereo.
Cindy did something very special for me for V-Day. She got a message put in the newspaper. I thought that was really awesome for her to tell everybody how she felt about me. My parents already spotted the message in the paper before I could tell them, but they weren't sure if it was for me or for some other Rob. What frustrated Cindy though is that we didn't get our V-Day paper until today because of yesterday's storm. I still think it was a sweet thing for her to do for me.
We also ate like fat rats yesterday as I cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was trully a great Valentine's Day, one that I will certainly never forget!
